Before she could think too much, the servant's voice came from outside the door.
"Miss, the horse carriage from the He Family has arrived."
Su Tao steadied herself and then, with support from Shuangshuang, she rose to her feet.
She must not fail today.
The horse carriage of the He Family stopped outside the door, and the servant was momentarily amazed when he saw Su Tao coming out.
Once he recovered, he quickly placed a small stool and bowed as Su Tao entered the carriage.
Upon Su Tao and Shuangshuang being duly seated, the servant spoke: "Miss Su, our master is waiting for you at Zuitingxuan."
Su Tao nodded, while Shuangshuang, recognizing the courtesy, took out a silver horn from her small bag, lifted a corner of the carriage curtain, and slipped it into the servant's pocket.
"Thank you for your hard work."
The servant chuckled, repeatedly reassured her that it was not hard work, weighed the silver horn in his pocket, and happily deposited it within.
