Chapter Twenty Seven ..fever

"No ,no ,Eloiseeee.....!!!" Jakes shouted in his sleep and this suddenly woke Eloise up as well ."No , don't go ..please don't go Eloise ..!"Jakes cried in his sleep .

"Jakes ,Jakes ,wake up !

I'm right here !"

Eloise tapped his cheeks ."You ? Eloise ? You are here ? Are you really here ?

Please don't go Eloise ,please I need you and I can't live without you ..!" Jakes cried out like a child as he embraced Eloise ."Shhh! I won't go anywhere Jakes ,I will stay right here ,right here by your side !

I won't go anywhere ,I promise you .Oh my God ! It seems he has fever .His temperature has risen and his body has really heated up .Was the dream that bad ?

I have to calm him down ..."Eloise put him down and quickly went for an icepack wrapped in a small towel .She placed the icepack on his forehead since Jakes was intermittently sweating and shivering .

She also wet a washcloth with cool water and placed it at the back of his neck .

Rubbing his hands against hers ,she made sure he could catch some heat but Jakes was all covered up in chills and his temperature per Eloise's assumption was above 100.4 ° ."You can pull through this love ,I won't let anything happen to you .I promise ,I won't ."Eloise kissed his hands in tears .After a while Jakes' temperature seemed to calm down and his chills were slowly reducing .

Eloise constantly cleaned Jakes with a sponge and tepid water so that his temperature could keep its balance .

After a while ,Jakes began to move ."Water .." Eloise quickly went to bring him some water ."Here love ,have some water ."She gently fed Jakes some water .After five minutes ,she fed Jakes cold lemon water and he slept off .

Eloise stayed awake the whole of dawn to take care of Jakes .Once he woke up in the morning with a balanced temperature ,he began to throw up and Eloise helped him do that ."Blarrgh! Blarrgh !! Blarrgh !!! Ptooey ! .." Jakes threw up and spat into the emesis basin Eloise put in front of him . "Come on ,let it all out .."Eloise patted his back ."This wouldn't have happened if you didn't drink too much alcohol yesterday .

Look at how strained you look now ,come on ,have some water and shower up ."Eloise emptied the emesis basin in the washroom and tidied it up as well as the place .She didn't want Jakes to feel nauseous again .

Eloise moved straight to the kitchen after Jakes went to take a shower .

Around 5:30 a.m ,she ordered some foodstuff from Santa Monica's Farmers Market and some fruits and veggies as well as yogurt from Smart and Final Supermarket and it was all delivered to her .

She didn't have extra money to order for a dress and a shoe so she took her bath and wore Jakes' Lacoste and his tracksuit .They looked a little baggy on her but she liked it because it was still raining and the weather was so cold to wear anything exposing .

*You can pull through this love ,I won't let anything happen to you ,I promise ...'Water ' "Here love ,have it .."* Did Eloise really call me love ? Did I hear it correctly or am I probably just envisaging it ?"These thoughts ran through Jakes' mind as he was showering up .

Once he was done showering ,he dressed up in his crew neck sweater and matched it with his cargo shorts and a pair of Polo Ralph Lauren slippers .

Checking at his lines of perfume sprays ,he wondered which of them Eloise would like if he wore it ."Which of these will Eloise like ? Should I wear Creed Aventus eau de parfum which is a blend of fruity and woody scent or should I wear Tom Ford Soleil Blanc which has a solar floral scent ?

Alright ,I will wear the odd one out which is Armani Prive Roses d'Arabie .This one with its rose scent will catch Eloise's attention ."Jakes wore the perfume and stepped out of the room ."By the way , where is Eloise ?

Mmm! Where's this flavour of good aroma of food coming from ? " Jakes went into the hall and traced Eloise up in the kitchen .

He stood behind her and smiled .He wanted to hug her from behind and caress her neck but he stopped so as to not ruin the good books that Eloise was trying to put him in . *"Why are you standing there Jakes ? Come in and stop staring at me from behind .Come and hug me from behind and shower me with your kisses ."*Jakes imagined Eloise saying that to him and so he matched forward and grabbed Eloise from behind and caressed her neck with his kisses ."I missed you sweetheart ,I really did ...!" For a while ,Eloise enjoyed what Jakes did but she wasn't going to give in to him so easily . "Sir ! What are doing ? " Jakes immediately came to his senses afterwards ."Oh Lord ! What the heck did I do now ? Jakes ,you are such a fool ! ."He hit his palm against his forehead and this caused Eloise to laugh but she hid it immediately Jakes raised up his head . "Eloise ,I'm so sorry ,please forgive me .It was unintentional ..I'm sorry !" Jakes apologized . "You know what your problem is ,sir ?

You dream big and imagine wide but not everything you dream about can be achieved .

This juice is for you ,since you had a fever , it will be good to have juices that boost your immune system ."Eloise handed Jakes a glass of juice made from kale ,tomato and celery and Jakes drank it immediately without any complains ."Here's some coconut water ,I know the juice doesn't taste really sweet like you were expecting and so the coconut water will help give you have some taste in your mouth .All this is to keep you hydrated ." Eloise gave Jakes a little lecture on health ."Okay ,I will drink it right away ."
