Chapter Thirty Seven ..more chilly in my chicken sauce

"Couldn't she be natural like Eloise ? " Jakes thought , still swiping the pictures of Suzzy on his iPad ."Sweet..."Cheryl was still pestering him for his attention ."I said get out ! "Jakes said with a hoarse tone this time around , Cheryl dared not to persuade him anymore .

Once she left ,he quickly took out his iphone .."I want to meet up with the head of the news dailies now ."Jakes said ."Alright Chairman but don't take out your anger on the phone now . It's expensive and now more than ever ,you need to save money for your daughter's sake and Eloise's return because I still stand firm on my instincts that she's alive ."Renata said ."Who asked for your opinion anyways ? "Jakes said ."You did sir ,if you didn't want my opinion then you could have called me through the cordless office phone but no ,you called me on my personal phone which means I can speak to my friend anyway I like ."Renata said ."Renata ,do what you want but I need to talk to the head of the news dailies ."Jakes affirmed ."As you wish Jakes .By the way ,do you want us to have coffee an hour later ? Of course the treat is on you boss ."Renata suggested ."Even though you pester me alot Chilly ,you are still my only friend now .You got it ,coffee an hour later at our favorite coffee shop .I need a friend .."Jakes accepted the treat and hanged up the call .

After the meeting and friendly treat with Renata , Jakes went home for lunch as usual .He was hoping that by now ,Suzzy would be okay and agree to have lunch with him .

When he got home ,he was awakened from his dull and angry mood when he saw Suzzy hang on to the chicken stew sauced with watermelons .Dora was sitting close to her and they were eating lunch together peacefully.

Again ,they chit -chatted and laughed over it .

This brought a smile on Jakes' face . He walked to them on the table and grabbed a seat for himself .

"Erm ! I'm also hungry , won't you serve me some lunch ? "Jakes looked directly at Suzzy's direction but her head was bent down into her meal .

Though the food was very tantalizing ,she was eating because her grany ; Dora promised to buy her various hair foods that would make her hair grow faster and longer again just like she likes it .

For this deal ,she was ready to eat ."Son ,I was telling your daughter that this is one of your favorite meals and she enjoyed it .

In fact ,she even helped me cook lunch ,her cooking skills are just like her mother's ."Dora tried initiating both father and daughter into a conversation .Earlier ,she tried her best to make Suzzy understand how much Jakes loved her and was ready to cater for her every need .

Suzzy still didn't give in to her words until Dora had no choice but to tell her that Jakes was her biological father and he feared that he would hate him once she came to know the truth .

In tears ,she sadly explained to Suzzy about the separation of her parents and swore to God that they knew nothing about her identity and they searched for Eloise for all these years but didn't find her .

Dora also opened up about the identity of Monalisa to her and why Jakes preferred calling her by that .

Dora pleaded with Suzzy not to hate Jakes because he was still in pain mourning Eloise's death .

Though Suzzy was disappointed that Jakes hid the truth from her ,she knew Dora had a point .

She finally found her father ,the reason for coming to Los Angeles .

Suzzy opened up to Dora about how she got to know about her father's identity .

JR was the only name Eloise could mention to Suzzy on her sick bed .

She could only add that he lived in Santa Monica and was rich to cater for her needs .

For this reason ,she gave her pendant to Suzzy because he knew that he would recognize that .

Suzzy however managed to understand Jakes' emotions and asked her grandmother for sometime to absorb and digest everything .

"Okay son ,let me serve you before the food gets completely cold ."Dora got up to serve Jakes .For this reason ,she dismissed all the maidservants ."No mum ,let Mona do it since she contributed alot to the preparation of the food ."Jakes looked into Suzzy's face waiting for her immediate reaction ."Oh son , don't stress her up .I will help you do this .."Dora said , worried the two might get into an argument because of this ."It's okay grany ,I will do it .This is a way of thanking him for what he has done for me ."Suzzy said and served him ."It's so sad that I didn't know earlier that JR simply meant Jakes Riddles .

You hid the truth from me because you were a coward to realize what the truth is .

Well ,it sounds pretty funny that after all I called my own aunt your daughter and my own father a pedophile .

I'm holding on to my anger for now JR ,the time will surely come for me to smash your face with the truth you think you are hiding from me ."Suzzy thought while serving Jakes ."Thanks Mona ,anyways ,how did you know I like more chilly in my chicken sauce ,huh ? "Jakes asked nicely ."Grany told me ."Suzzy answered simply and sat down ."Mum .."Jakes called out cleaning the corners of his mouth with a napkin ."I hope you reminded your granddaughter that she's staying by my side forever .

She's now a Riddles which means , she shouldn't ever think of running away and .." Jakes was cut off by Suzzy ."I should respect you .I have thirty minutes to get down for breakfast and my name is now Monalisa Susana Jenkins Riddles !

I will read business administration in college and also make sure to pose myself well as your daughter for your own image ."Suzzy spat out looking directly into Jakes' eyes .
