Chapter Forty four ..welcome party

"Don't worry ,that crazy woman will not be able to harass you again .I called the cops in because I couldn't see her even verbally abusing you .

Suzzy ,I can't see anything wrong happening with you because you are my daughter and I care and love you so much .

I know that you and I don't get along well because of what happened between Eloise and I .

The mistake with which I made with your mum is all my fault .You are right ,I'm a coward .A bloody coward for not doing everything possible to make us one big happy family but I hope that someday , you'd find a place in your heart to forgive me .

I swear to your mother's memories that I will be the kind of father you want me to be and nothing else .

I will love and cater for your every need but please don't harbour only hatred in your heart for me ."Jakes pleaded with Suzzy .

"Excuse me .."Suzzy decided to leave but Jakes held her hands and pulled her into his embrace .

"Please forgive me for what I did to you and your mum .

Please Suzzy ..."Jakes pleaded with Suzzy for her forgiveness to the extent that he lowered himself to her knees to ask for her forgiveness .

This was highly unusual of Jakes .Others begged at his feet but he never begged at anyone's feet .

His ego ,pride and arrogance were all lowered at Suzzy's feet in tears for forgiveness .

Lowering herself to Jakes' level as well ,she wiped away her tears with the back of her hands and wiped his with her thumb .

"Whatever that happened eighteen years ago wasn't my fault however why do I need to pay for you and mum's faults ? I have longed for my father for about eighteen years but now that I've met you ,it feels as if I should have never seen you .

However ,I spoke my mind earlier to you and that's it .I can promise giving you the opportunity to be my father and we can start afresh like friends because even I don't want to live harbouring hatred in my heart .

I want to take rest ..."Suzzy went upstairs and Jakes felt calm .After a while ,the news about the welcome party for Suzzy was all over the news dailies , television , radios and all social media platforms .

...Hermosa Beach ...

On a cool Monday of Hermosa Beach ,the feeling of satisfaction each time you walk on the wet sand swept all over her body .

Feeling the ocean breeze on her face , she run from one end to another with a breath of freedom .

The smell of the saltiness of the sea gave her a feeling of being relaxed and satisfied .

"I just love the sensual thrill that the soles of the feet of the powdery yet soft and firm sand sends up into my brain .Oh beach ! oh beach ! the beginning of my life and where I feel the real purpose of my life .

Each time I step on a beach ,I get to hear my purpose from the waves .Like today ,I've come to Hermosa Beach to find my purpose ; the purpose of going back to find my daughter .

Tell me Mama ,what news has your investigator got for me ? "The young sensual lady who happily designed a feminine image with the sea sand asked .

"My dear ,I have good news for you .This is an invitation card that my investigator got from his friend .

Apparently ,it turns out that the Riddles are holding a 'welcome back home party' for someone special .

Tonight is the night for you to get back your daughter .This is because the welcome party is for Monalisa Susana Jenkins Riddles .

Here ,have a look at it ..."Her Mama handed her the invitation card ."The welcome ceremony of Monalisa Susana Jenkins Riddles tonight at the Riddles' mansion ."She read it out loud ."Ha! Monalisa Susana Jenkins Riddles is now her name .

My daughter Susana Jenkins is now Monalisa Susana Jenkins Riddles .No matter the name you give to her Jakes Riddles ,it won't stop me from getting back my daughter .

It's high time we went to Los Angeles because the ceremony is at seven o'clock and we will have to get there by five o'clock ."She said and moved into the hotel where they were staying and started packing up their bags ."Eloise ,what do you have in mind ?

Will you stop the ceremony ? "Her mother asked and she ignored her and moved to the reception and checked out of the hotel .

"Eloise my dear ,try to understand .If you stop the ceremony then you'd not only embarrass your daughter but the entire reputation of the Riddles .

Everyone will think that you are a ghost because they all think that you are dead !"Her Mama continued to convince her .

"Look Stephanie , don't forget that you and your husband made me a ghost when you buried my identical twin instead of me .

I still haven't forgotten that you wrapped me in a box and put me at the shores of the sea because you wanted to get rid of me .

Unlike you , I won't abandon my daughter .You know why for a year ,I couldn't go back for her right ? In case you've forgotten ,I will gladly remind you .

After my seizure ,I was in a medically induced coma for six months .When I woke up ,I had to battle with amnesia for three months .

When I came back to my senses after that ,the first thing I did was to start searching for my daughter because I remember telling her clearly to go to Santa Monica and look for JR who was her father .

That was the last thing I said to her before I had a seizure that the doctors presumed that I'm dead.

I must say I was given a second chance to life and do you know why you and your husband accepted me in your life ? It's because you lost your daughter .The same one for which you abandoned me for .I was supposed to equally grow up with a better life like hers but what did you and your husband do ?

You dropped me off at the shores and left and you say that ,it was because you wanted me to have a better life ,is it ? "
