Chapter Fifteen ..The job is done

"Thanks so much for helping me unpack these items .By the way ,how much is my fare ? "Eloise pulled out her purse from her bag and took out some money to pay the driver ."Ma'am , it's just one dollar but my apartment is the apartment following right after yours and so consider it a help ." The driver refused to collect the money . "But .." Eloise tried persisting but the driver still affirmed on his statement ."Alright ,if you won't take the money then at least you can take this ."Eloise handed him a bag of Reese's peanut butter cups ."I guess you have kids and I know they will love it .At least , that's the little I can do for your help . "Thanks ma'am ,I will take my leave now .Good night ma'am ."

"Good night too ..." As soon Eloise closed her door ,the door bell rang ."Did the driver leave something behind ? I guess he did ,let me go and ask him what he needs ." Eloise opened the door and saw a group of men standing in front of her . "Yes,how may I help you ? " Eloise asked holding the edge of her door .

"Is this Eloise Jenkins' residence ? " One of the men asked referring from his list .

"Yeah ,it is and I'm Eloise Jenkins ,how can I help you ? " Eloise asked .

"Ma'am ,we were asked to deliver to these home and electrical appliances to you. Earlier at Ralph's ,you won these home and electrical appliances and you were promised that it will be delivered later so we are now here to deliver them ."

"Okay ,come in .By the way ,why do you have many followers ?

I mean three or four people could have brought it and so why take the trouble of bringing eight people along ? " Eloise asked . "Ma'am ,four of them are interior decors .They are here to decorate your apartment and also help you arrange your items in your apartment .

Aside the electrical and home appliances ,we brought you some home furnishings ."

"Home furnishings ? I didn't win that and neither did I ask you to bring that along so why did you bring it ? " Eloise was a bit tensed because she knew she didn't have money to pay for the home furnishings though she needed it ."Ma'am , don't worry .If you are worried about the cost then don't worry . Actually , it's our company's fault for not getting you all the electrical and home appliances you need .For this reason ,we replaced it home furnishings . In case you were not told ,you won a voucher worth three thousand dollars and it's our duty to serve you as such .Please sign here for me ." After Eloise appended her signatures ,the goods were brought into her apartment .It included air conditioners ,clothes dryers ,freezers and refrigerators ,kitchen stoves ,dish washers ,drying cabinets ,water heaters ,washing machine ,trash compactors , microwave oven , induction cooker ,toaster ,waffle iron , vacuum cleaner ,television set with a home theater ,coffee maker and a blender for the home and electrical appliances .

Also home furnishings such as curtains ,cushion and cushion covers , a twin drawer bed ,beddings and mattresses ,wall hangings and tapestries ,rugs ,chair coverings ,sofas , bean bags ,carpets ,slipcovers ,kitchen linens , bathroom linens ,study desks ,door mats ,window coverings ,drawer dressers with mirror and bedside lamps were brought .The interior decors helped Eloise arrange and decorate her apartment nicely .Her one bedroom apartment with a mini hall ,kitchen and an ensuite was looking nicer than before ."Thank you guys very much .."Eloise said to them ."Ma'am ,you are very lucky .After such a long time ,someone finally won all these and that's you .You are really lucky to have hit the jackpot .We will leave now ." Once they left ,Eloise looked around her and smiled.Her apartment which was so empty before was filled up now with nice furnishings and appliances . "Ohhh ...!" Eloise jumped on her bed like a kid ."Grandfather ,you were right ,miracles do happen and I have seen one happen today .

Grandfather ,I'm so happy that I hit the jackpot .You were always right grandfather ,you should keep your hopes up to success .How I wish you were here to enjoy all these but anyways ,I know you are looking after me from heaven ." Eloise kept looking into the atmosphere till she fell asleep .

"Sir ,the job is done .I did everything just like you instructed ." She said to the man who comfortably sat in his car with his legs crossed and seemed busy on his phone .

"Well done Joan ,get into the car so that no one sees you .

Here is twenty thousand dollars ,I hope it's enough to clear all the debt incurred after the shopping !"

"Sir ,so much money ? The debt incurred after the shopping was just five thousand dollars .Does this mean the fifteen thousand is mine ? " Joan asked and the man nodded .

"Oh thank you so much Chairman Riddles .You are such a generous man !"

"Enough of your blabbing Joan ,give me the details of what happened .Did she suspect anything ? "Jakes asked looking concerned .

"No sir ,she didn't . Actually ,i made everything look like a promotion and so she didn't suspect anything .I even made some of our workers act as though they were shopping so that she'd believe it's a promo .

And about the spin wheel ,it was operated such that no matter the spins ,she' d choose groceries and home appliances .

In fact ,at the last minute ,I made my guys add home furnishings to it .I did the shopping for her because the lady seemed quite reserved .She picked a few things that was worth ten dollars and so I had to help her out .

I even lied about my younger sister's name being Eloise Jenkins so that she would feel comfortable with me .Sir ,the job was done with no suspicions just like you wanted it !

It was a clean job !"Joan gave a detailed explanation to Jakes .

"Good Joan ,good work done .You should have been an actress instead of a sales girl .This is for you ..!"Jakes handed her another envelope .
