Chapter Eighty Seven ..see you in court
"Before you proceed with my son's case ,I know and accept that he made a mistake so please forgive him , please !"Irene Hamilton , Greg's mother apologized before her son's trial would start .
"Can you carry on with the case Dacre ?"Jakes asked , sarcastically.
"Sure ...!
Now you may testify in defence or against the accused , Gregorio Hamilton!"Dacre said .
"Gregorio Hamilton ,known popularly as Greg accused Monalisa for being a thief for wearing expensive accessories .
He later accused her of sleeping with men to get expensive accessories as well .
He also called her a street girl even though Mona humbly asked him to apologize for bumping into her and soiling her dress with the juice she carried on a tray .
He verbally abused her and called her filthy ."Sonya testified in Suzzy's favour .
"He also abused Sonya and I and even called us poor charity kids .
He said that it's his money and family contribution that has got us the scholarship forms .
If Mona had not intervened ,I'm sure he would have hurt us more badly with his harsh words .
Mona after listening to him splashed a jar of kiwi fruit juice on his face and ended her statement with two tight slaps across his face .
Mr .Vice Chancellor , Gregorio Hamilton has really embarrassed us including Mona today with his false accusations and verbal assaults and so I don't want justice for myself but for Mona because in the whole of Loyola Marymount University , she's the only who stood up for poor people like us as people will address us .
She deserves justice ,Mr .Vice Chancellor ."Josette said and stood in for Suzzy .
Suzzy kept quite and she didn't want to talk because inwardly ,she was controlling her anger and pain that was making her feel suffocated .
Before the vice chancellor could say anything ,Jakes and Eloise angrily rose up to their feet .
"I don't care about the punishment you'd give to them Dacre Harvey but I want to tell them that for falsely accusing my daughter and molesting her this badly ,you should all meet me in court because I will sue you all for what you've done to my daughter ."Jakes hit the desk with his hands angrily .
"My daughter doesn't deserve any of your cruelty for being humble .She could have treated you all harshly like you did to her but no ,she didn't and so I agree a hundred percent with my husband ,you should all meet us in court because you will all pay dearly for what you've done to my daughter !"Eloise angrily supported Jakes' decision .
"And just a reminder you dumb headed boy ,your family hasn't even contributed a dime to the scholarship scheme of this university .
Everyone with a scholarship in this university is having an education void of tuition fees and the cost is all from my pocket !
Meet me in court Gregorio Hamilton because I will make you pay dearly for your stupidity !
I guess a one year jail term in county jail and a fine up to $2000 with a permanent criminal record will bring your mind back home .
And you , Erica Montgomery , you've no idea what's coming your way for even having the guts to be the mastermind of molesting my daughter .
Be prepared to serve a two to three year jail term in county jail for been the mastermind of my daughter's molestation and to you girls who were her accomplices ,I guess a jail term of sixteen months suits you !
Princess , let's go out of here ....!"Jakes held Suzzy's left hand and Eloise held the other as they exited the board room as a family .
Dacre Harvey and Chris Boardman knew they could not stop Jakes from taking this case further because falsely accusing someone without evidence and molesting someone was a crime in the Californian law which came with its corresponding punishments .
"Mummy ,I don't want to go to jail ,please save me from getting a jail sentence mummy ,please save me ! "Erica cried out to her mother who was already devastated from whatever that was happening .
"That won't happen my dear ,your dad will be coming here soon and he will make everything right .
Trust me ,you won't go to jail ."Dulce Montgomery assured Erica .
"Dad ,I know I messed up, but jail no ! I don't want to go to jail .I can't survive in there and I don't want to have a permanent criminal record too .Please save me ,please do something about this .."Greg begged his daddy Chance Hamilton to save him .
"Sir please ,please don't have them lock my daughter up ,please .I know she made a mistake but I promise you that it will never repeat itself again , please forgive my daughter .."Francisca Stewart begged for her daughter Doreen's freedom.
"You are a mother too Eloise and I know you know the pain I'm going through ,please don't let them lock my daughter up .
She's filled with so much dreams and if you lock her up ,her dreams will be shattered ,please sir ,forgive her ."Sylvia Jones , Debbie's mother also begged for her daughter's freedom .
"In every mother's life ,she only wishes that her child will grow and see her fulfill her dreams but if my daughter gets locked up in jail ,then how will she fulfill her dreams ? Please give my daughter another chance .."Abigail Quin , Nadine's mother apologized on her daughter's behalf .
Jakes seeing Suzzy's teary eyes and sorrowful face didn't make him feel any sort of pity towards them .
At that spot , a group of policemen arrived .
"Mr.Riddles ,I'm PO Oscar Bazaar and these are my men .We came here immediately after receiving your call ."Police Officer Oscar Bazaar said .
"Officer ,these are the people who have committed such heinous crimes against my daughter and thanks to them she's completely traumatized so arrest them and throw them behind the bars ."Jakes instructed .
"Okay sir . Gregorio Hamilton ,you are under arrest for falsely accusing and verbally assaulting Monalisa Susana Jenkins Riddles .You have the right to remain silent or anything you say will be used against you in the court of law ."PO Oscar Bazaar handcuffed Greg Hamilton .
