Chapter Eight ..No money can buy my designs

"This design with the shape of a shell that I picked from the coast is called from 'grass to grace '.

I decided to give it this name because everyone who is determined to succeed from a poor beginning will surely end up being successful !

The second anchored- shape design is called 'the hardest core of life ' .In a storm , no matter how the sea tides rise ,an anchor keeps it sailing smoothly and so this design stands for all the difficulties an individual goes through in life and still succeeds .

The disjointed hearts design is the last of the top three collections .

I call it the 'fate trials ' because in life there are so many trials an individual passes through .

Some come when you least expected .They keep your emotions up and trust sealed but then ,even the quest of promises are broken when the trust is no more sealed .

The problem is when you trust in someone with all your heart like crazy and the person appears to have made a fool out of you at the end .

These are fate trials hence the shape of the disjointed hearts ,sir ."As soon as Eloise finished ,her eyes were teary and they saw red as her fists were clenched and her gaze looking in Jakes' eyes only .

"Miss Jenkins ,we love your designs and as a board we'd like you to design for our company .

First and foremost , we'd like to buy your Shell Designs and that too for a suitable amount of two million dollars since you're so emotionally attached to it !"One amongst them said on behalf of the other board members.

"No sir ,the Shell Designs aren't for sale !

If you want to employ me as a designer for your company then ,I can make other designs but under no conditions will I sell the Shell Designs to your company or to any other company !"Eloise affirmed her statement .

"We as a board have decided to make you a designer for Cooperatives of Jewelry Designs .

Think about it ,we are buying your designs for two million dollars and this money can really be useful to you .You won't get this offer in any other company ,Miss Jenkins , so think about it !" The board still pressed on their decision to buy the designs .

"I have visited twenty jewelry design companies right from Texas to Los Angeles County .

When I arrived in Los Angeles County ,I sought for an employment at jewelry designs companies at Beverly Hills and now I'm in Santa Monica ; and that too ,at one of the famous and biggest jewelry design firms ; Cooperatives of Jewelry Designs !

I must admit that your company is bigger than all those I have visited but just like you ,they wanted to buy my designs and I rejected their proposals even though the money you are offering to give me is more than theirs !

I still rejected it and I stand firm that no amount of money can buy my designs !Not two million ,three million or even a hundred million ,sir !

Thank you for your time but if you won't employ me because I have refused your proposal for buying my designs then I guess I will have to head somewhere else and look for employment !"Eloise packed up her staff and left the office angrily .

Once she left ,the board members muttered among themselves about the loss they could incur if such a great designer like her is hired in their competitive companies .

"If you are worried about loosing such a great designer then call her back and employ her because we can't lose a great designer like her to our competitors ."Jakes said and sent Inno Heavens to call Eloise back .

"What do they think ? That their money can intimidate me ?

Of course not ,I will not allow Jakes Riddles to fool me for the second time .I hate him now and nothing he will do or say can convince me to sell my designs !

Among all the companies in Santa Monica ,why did I have to sought for employment at where this liar and fraud owns ,huh ?!

What kind of twist of fate is this ,Eloise ?!

Anyways ,I won't lose my hope now ,I can still survive without their offer ..!"Eloise angrily walked through the reception and before she could get out ,she heard someone call her name .

"Miss Jenkins ...!" She pushed the door knob and stepped out presuming it to be Jakes .

"Ha! you have no shame Jakes Riddles ,I will not forgive you for your betrayal !" Eloise continued walking out of the premises of Cooperative Of Jewelry Designs."Hey ,Miss Jenkins ...Miss Jenkins !" Inno run and stood in front of her with his hands on his knees ."Miss Jenkins ,you've really made me run today .

In high school ,I couldn't even run a hundred marathon race but look at the trouble you 've made me go through because you pretended not to hear me call out your name !

Anyways ,if you don't go back ,I can be sacked from my job !" Inno who was panting like he was been chased by a leopard said .

"Sacked from your job ? How ?! Anyways , there was no need for you to run after me like that !"Eloise groaned .

"Seriously Miss Jenkins ,do you think Cooperatives Of Jewelry Designs would want to lose a great designer like you ? No ,Miss Jenkins !

That's why ,you will have to follow me into the board room !

The board of directors have accepted your terms and conditions and even the president too .

Isn't that surprising ? For two years ,he has rejected many jewelry designers but you are so lucky ,he liked your designs .You should thank God for I think there's lack written on your forehead !"
