16- You Were Never a Threat

Rhya started summoning lightning based magic, while Fana started summoning a bunch of four pointed diamond stars, and the fire around her flickered.

"It seems like you're finally ready. Let's go to round two"

The two lackeys ran at Noah. Noah ignored them and kept staring at the two elves in the back.

As the two lackeys got closer Noah dodged whatever attacks they threw at him without moving his eyes off of the two elves.

Fana ran to the left of Noah while Rhya ran to the right side. Rhya started using his strongest lightning based attacks. While Fana rained a bunch of human sized fire balls and four pointed stars at him

Noah stretched his hand out and a black sword formed in his hand.

'Who should I go after first? Usually I would go after the one with healing ability, but both can heal. Then we go for the one closest to me' Noah ran at Fana first. He closed the distance and swung his sword towards her neck

*CLANK*

Fana used her tail to block Noah's sword. The two engaged in high speed close quarters combat for a few seconds.

[Why aren't you absorbing her mana any more] - Draco

[That would make the fight too boring] - Noah

[Take this seriously please. I want to leave already] - Draco was scared because Noah seemed to be taking this as a training exercise.

[Fine] - Noah mentally groaned. He then looked at Fana

"Hey. I'm gonna get serious now" - Noah said as purple flames covered the sword he was using.

Fana's tail that was able to block Noah's sword, got sliced so easily like a hot knife through butter.

Fana jumped back when she felt the intense fire around Noah's sword. A black portal opened some meters above Noah and the two lackeys came falling out of it aiming their attacks at Noah.

Noah dashed back towards Rhya, completely ignoring the two lackeys falling from the sky.

Rhya switched from spatial magic to light magic and started to fire light attacks at Noah.

Noah sped up suddenly and appeared in front of Rhya. A clean punch landed on Rhya's face, sending him flying like a ragdoll. Rhya's body bounce off the floor a few times before he came to a stop.

Fana had already made her way to Noah and was fighting him in close combat again. Noah sliced her up a few times before Rhya was back on his feet supporting her from farther behind.

With a powerful kick, Fana was sent flying towards Rhay.

The two elves used healing magic on themselves,

"Rhya. I have a few seconds before I'm out" - Fana whispered

"Then lets distract him and send one big attack" - Rhya whispered back.

Rhya stopped healing himself and opened a black portal, And Fana jumped through it

Noah dashed towards the left. An instant later a black portal appeared right where he flew to, Fana stepped out and saw a fist coming towards her face .

'He can predict where the portal will open?!' - Rhay stared at Fana that came flying back from the portal.

The two lackeys had caught up to Noah once again.

"Let's put everything we have into this one attack" - Rhya commanded Fana as she stood up from the ground.

The two elves knew that they had to end it. They also knew that their lackeys can't hold Noah. Fana quickly raised her hands above her head and summoned three of the four pointed diamond stars. The stars got filled with hot orange liquid like substance. The stars expanded until they were the size of a human

Rhya's grimoire opened and then a lion's head formed out of fire. The lion's head was big enough to swallow the diamond stars. Once the stars were inside the fire lion's head, a pulse showed through the lions eyes.

The lion opened it's mouth again, and the three stars had merged into one. And with a sonic boom the red hot diamond shot at Noah

Noah jumped up above the lackeys and arrived in front of the hot red diamond. A small black and purple vortex formed in his hand. Once he pointed his hand at the incoming attack, the vortex expanded enough to swallow the attack.

[Oh wow. That's a lot of mana in one attack] - Draco

[Nothing we can't handle] - Noah shrugged

Noah started to absorb the attack. In that instant Rhya had opened a small portal behind Noah, and Fana had jumped through.

Just as Fana arrived behind Noah and was about to pierce his back with her claws, Noah jumped to the side. The attack that Noah had stopped and was pretending to be absorbing, slammed right into Fana

Fana was knocked out of her spirit dive. Her body was burned and some of her ribcage bones were broken and pierced out of her body. The skin on her face and shoulders were melted off. One of her arms was missing.

"FANA!" - Rhya opened another portal and moved Fana next to him. He then used a light based healing spell. Her breathing was haggard and unstable

"Wow! What a powerful spell" - Noah said as he looked at the elves.

"How dare you do that to lady Fana" - The lackeys came running from behind and attacked Noah

"I did nothing. That was her own spell" - Noah said as he effortlessly dodged their attacks again.

'I would let her die here but there is no point. Besides that's not her actual body *sigh* man, I'm such a nice person' - Noah shook his head, he suddenly turned towards the two lackeys

"I knew you were useless, but damn I didn't expect you to be this useless" - Noah said as he knocked them out again.

Rhya is still trying to heal Fana as much as he can.

Noah took a step forward. {Pura Sanitas} Noah chanted as many strands of turquoise energy expanded from all around them. Any area the strands touched, that area would heal almost instantly. Even the torn arm was growing back.

Rhya stared at Noah with his mouth hanging from shock. "What is the meaning of this!"

"There is no point of killing her" - Noah shrugged

"You know we were her to kill you!" - Rhya's anxiety took over as he shouted at Noah

"Kill me? hahaha. You were never a threat to begin with. We'll continue this another time. I bet the capital situation is all handled" - Noah waited until Fana was completely healed. He then looked at the direction of the capital. With a flap of his wing he was already hundreds of feet away from the group.

Some time later Noah was back to the capital. Currently he's flying over the capital watching as a bunch of water mages were putting out fires all over the place.

Looking towards a particular area Noah can see Noelle helping in extinguishing fire in a building

Noah landed in a secluded area, and canceled his dragon surge mode. He then made his way towards the mage headquarters.

Once he entered, a mage from the wizard king's personal unit ran over to him, "Excuse me sir. His highness the wizard king has asked for you in his office"

Noah nodded at the man before he led the way towards the wizard king's office.

Noah walked into the office, "Sir" Noah saluted

"At ease. I'm glad you were able to make it back safely. I want to know what happened to the one you were fighting earlier" - Julius

"The woman I was fighting, her name is Fana. She uses fire magic, and she's the current holder of the fire spirit salamander" - Noah

"That's troublesome. It was reported that you and Feugoleon were teleported away from the capital. Tell me where were you taken?" - Julius

"North. All the way near a grand magic zone" - Noah

"What were they planning?" - Julius

"They wanted to ambush me. There were three other men there. Two of which are nameless lackeys. The third man is someone as powerful as Fana, if not more lethal because of his versatility. He uses copy magic. He copies other people's magic abilities. He used light magic, fire magic, lightning magic, and even spatial magic" - Noah

"That indeed sound very powerful. Any observations on the two? How did you escape them, or did you beat them?" - Julius

"For him to copy someone's magic he has to touch their grimoire. He can only use one type of magic at a time. Though it doesn't take him long to switch between magic types. I was able to beat all four of them, but I didn't kill anyone. Matter of fact I healed Fana before leaving them" - Noah

"I see. So why did you hold back?" - Julius

"No reason. I just didn't feel like killing anyone today. And I didn't want to carry any prisoners back from all the way over at the edge of the kingdom" - Noah

"hahahaha you're quite the eccentric person aren't you. Anyway I'm glad you're back safe. You must be tired from the battle, you're dismissed" - Julius

"Before I leave, you said Feugoleon was also teleported away, is he ok?" - Noah

"Unfortunately not. We had the royal doctor take a look at him, we were able to heal his wounds and stop the bleeding, but we don't know when will he wake up" - Julius

Noah nodded in understanding before leaving the office.

After leaving he went and found Noelle and Asta.

All three of them made their way back to the base.

Noelle was exhausted from running around the whole time, she went straight to sleep. Asta on the other hand went to train in the clearing behind the base. Noah on the other hand went to the hot bath to relax for a bit.

[Hey Draco. What did you do to block Rhya from copying my magic?] - Naoh

[I did nothing. He just appeared in here, and then he was kicked back out] - Draco

[I see] - Noah fell back into silence as he relaxed in the hot water

'I wonder what it was. Rhya had clearly copied Fana's magic, that's why he uses fire spirit magic. He even copied Asta which only copied the looks of it not the actual ability. could it be because I have more mana than him...no he definitely copied his light magic from Licht, who has more mana that Rhay...who gives a shit about that anyway, I'm tired I won't think about it any more'
