Becoming Dungeon Fodder

[WPC 318- Dungeon] The world became a mess, with various gates opening everywhere. When special squads made by the government went in there, they could find different creatures inside it; some looked humanoid, while some were the embodiment of true beasts. There was panic everywhere, but it all went away when the special squads returned with a unique gift; they had started manifesting powers; some became very strong, while others had unbelievable powers looking like magic in real life. It all happened by killing the creatures inside the gates that humanity came to call 'dungeons.' After that, people started getting a 'system' telling them how strong they were. Just like that, several centuries passed, with humanity gaining superiority again. Kyle was also an ordinary evolver until a lousy situation led him to become a completely different entity he had never imagined. Follow his journey of unveiling the mysteries behind the so-called 'System'

Separating

"Now, this is a thing I can make with my power, the grass on the floor is real and so is the sun above. Now, this is a very expensive setup, took me about 1200 DP." Kyle lied with a straight face, not that he had any facial expression. The mask was on cooldown for now and was taking around 2 hours to work again. The whole environmental setup didn't even cost 1000 DP, but it was still expensive.

"I will make the same thing for your dungeon, and the floor you will be living on, but it will happen after you complete the missions I give you."

Everyone nodded with an excited faces. If they could live in an environment like this, being a slave was not so bad. Kyle nodded satisfied with the action.

"The 10 of you who are going to live here will attack other dungeons to gain DP for me. If you do good, I will provide you with all kinds of luxuries. And the other 10 will live where you lived before. You have to get me those beasts of yours every day. The more you give me, the more I give you, understood?"

The goblins didn't find this thing unfair, the goblin chief, Abrel was even huffing with excitement.

Kyle could have just given them orders and they could not do anything but his approach was different. Giving people a chance to change their situation always make them do more, and a goal gets in front of them that will determine their future. Looking at their expressions, Kyle thought that they forgot how he made them kill more than half of the goblin brethren.

"You" He pointed at a level 4 goblin that panicked for being pointed out.

"You are next to Abrel when it comes to strength, what is your name?"

"O-Oghal"

"Ok, Oghal, you are the leader of the group moving back. You will be responsible for everything your team does. pick 9 from the group that will accompany you." Kyle said casually. Oghal moved and looked at the whole goblin tribe.

He looked at Abrel who was looking at him indifferently.

After picking 9 goblins, Kyle sent them back with a bucket filled with water for the day and a big leg that was enough to make them eat for a day. It only cost him 10 DP. He had many points for sustenance but Kyle was not satisfied, he was aiming for more, the better heaven-defying things were very expensive and Kyle wanted one of the things in them.

Abrel was looking at the left-out goblin in his command and didn't say anything. They were all level 3 with the exception of a level 4.

"If you do things right, you fellows can become stronger than that group," Kyle said after Oghal's group left. Abrel didn't say much and nodded. They went down and settled their huts on the 3rd floor.

Kyle was looking at the 2 opened portals. He had just tried to open another but the system said the limit cannot exceed 2 which was already expected by Kyle. He was waiting for Alicia to come and introduce her to the goblins.

He waited for an hour and couldn't hold anymore.

SWUSH!

He went running towards the portal without any worry. The 1st floor was filled with corpses and weapons. He put all the things in his inventory and started his spring again. The same on the 2nd, after putting all the corpses and weapons inside, the inventory was full. But it was fruitful, the goblin corpses amounted to around 30 with 10 swords and 20 daggers.

All the floors were already completed and Kyle just went to the boss's room. When he first got hold of the sight, his bony face formed a crazy grin. It was a bold sight, all the skeletons were standing near the walls while Alicia was single-handedly fighting the Hobgoblin. There was a gap between them which made Alicia shoot again and again.

Whenever the Hobgoblin tried to close the distance, Alicia shot at its head and other important places. Kyle even saw her shoot at the Hobgoblin's crotch making him burst out in laughter.

Alicia looked at him while huffing in exhaustion, and so was the same with the Hobgoblin.

*"Grrr...Another Bone bastard!"* He said.

"Alicia, he just insulted me, please take revenge," Kyle said in a made-up scared voice making Alicia giggle. When the Hobgoblin was distracted, Alicia shot another arrow in a split second, she didn't even stop to aim properly. The arrow went straight for the heart.

The Hobgoblin felt a life-threatening chill in his spine making him move a little right out of instinct.

PUCHI!

The arrow was deep inside the Hobgoblin's left chest. It was a severe wound but the Hobgoblin was happy he didn't die due to being dumb. He gripped his club tightly and dashed towards Alicia.

She on the other hand looked at Kyle with a cute face as if saying 'please save this damsel in distress '. Kyle was amused by her antics, he knew she couldn't go on any longer, her mana and stamina stat was already exhausted.

Kyle only chuckled and sprinted again, he didn't even equip a weapon and clasped his hand tightly. Before the Hobgoblin could do anything, he felt as if he had been attacked by a heavy rock.

Kyle's hand went inside the skull without any worry, the Hobgoblin may have been a level 8 but Kyle was also at the peak of level 6, it could be anytime that he level up. His bones had become very tough with each level up. His skills were way out of approach for the Hobgoblin.

The kill message came with the rewards, Kyle looked at Alicia whose mouth was wide open. She couldn't believe that he killed a boss with only one strike.

What she didn't know was that an even bigger surprise was waiting back home.
