"Convince the order... what is the possibility of this?" Chantria asked to be sure, the look on Dewei's face left her feeling unsettled.
"As I have said, Amir has already been condemned to death by the order. You will need to offer them a suitable judgement in the place of the death sentence." Dewei replied.
"I know where you are headed with this, Amir has already said that is not an option." Zevon interrupted before Dewei could speak further.
The animosity in Zevon's tone stunned Chantria and her brow curled up questioningly.
"Zevon, the decision is not yours to make." Dewei stated clearly, his gaze narrowed into a look of displeasure.
"Clearly, your brother and consort three have bad blood." The voice of the harem system sounded in Chantria's mind.
"So it would seem." Chantria thought back to the harem system.
"New harem mission available in system catalogue!" The harem system announced in an annoyingly excited tone.
"Is this even the right time? I'm yet to complete the current mission." Chantria thought to the harem system in annoyance.
"All missions given are to aid host in becoming a successful harem master, missions may overlap or be intertwined, host need only be compliant." The harem system replied.
"Right... just perfect." Chantria thought back to the harem system.
"What would you say is a worthy judgement?" Chantria asked, interrupting the glaring contest between Zevon and Dewei.
"Amir Naeem must give up his bonding mark and be banished from the harem, in exchange, his life may just be spared." Dewei said in a serious tone.
"Ahhh... is that an awfully bad judgement?" Chantria asked uncertainly.
Kahlel scoffed beneath his breath at Chantria's question.
"I assume it would be quite favorable to the noble saint, all you have ever wanted to do is disband the harem." He said in a chilling cold tone.
"Kahlel..." Zevon warned the golden haired man.
Kahlel rose to his feet and strode off without saying a single word.
'Kahlel...' Chantria thought to herself as she stared after him.
It was a beautiful name, perfectly suited to the beautiful man, it was only that this Kahlel was rather harsh in his speech.
"Chan, I would rather die than give up my mark...but if you give the order, I will abide. Please excuse me." Amir stated in a firm tone as he rose to his feet and headed out of the hall too.
"Noble saint... that is too cruel to demand of Amir." Irvine supported with a disappointed sigh.
Chantria blinked in astonishment, in her opinion, life came first before anything else...but it seemed these men had different priorities.
'It will not be easy to save him...' Chantria thought to herself with a heavy sigh as she stood up,
Chantria was not certain what she had said wrong but the mood had already been ruined.
"I will figure it out myself." Chantria decided as she took her leave from the hall.
_____________
"I knew I would find you here." Dewei said.
Chantria glanced up from where she sat in the field of same colored flowers, at this moment, the flowers were all an unpleasant gray color.
Chantria had only noticed it now that the color of the flowers seemed to change according to her mood.
The first time she had come here earlier in the day, the flowers had been a deep purple shade and now, they suddenly had converted to this shade of gray.
Everything in this Kalavan deep was just so strange and unfamiliar to her.
Chantria shrugged casually as she leaned back, placing her hands on the ground to support her weight.
"You left like that, your consorts believe they have angered you." Dewei pointed out as he took a seat beside Chantria.
"I was not the first to leave...we all needed a break and I needed some air." Chantria replied with a quiet sigh.
"Is that all?" Dewei asked doubtfully.
"I don't know...I just feel, they all expect so much from me and I do not think I can live up to their expectations." Chantria admitted truthfully.
Chantria was not sure why she was saying these words to Dewei, but it was truly how she felt.
She had only just awakened into this strange world, there was so much she did not know... truthfully, Chantria hardly knew anything of this world.
Perhaps if Chantria had read the book, she would be in a much better position than she was now but she had been too stubborn and did not bother with it despite all of Mira's convincing.
"I have heard these same words before." Dewei said with a small smile.
"From me?" Chantria asked in surprise and Dewei nodded.
"You may have lost your memories and your personality has changed too, but some things are still the same." Dewei said fondly.
Chantria did not respond, she had no words to say in response, she would only end up giving herself away.
"What do you plan to do?" Dewei asked.
"Amir says it was not his intention to kill me... and I believe him." Chantria began.
She had thought over it for a short time and Chantria decided the best way to save Amir was to prove his innocence.
"If Amir did not try to kill me himself, it could only mean someone switched out the aphrodisiac for poison...if we can find that someone, it would increase our chances of convincing the order." Chantria stated.
"Amir escaped execution yesterday and the news is widespread across the citadel."
" The order will require Amir's life in no distant time...it could be today or the day after, we do not have the time to carry out an investigation." Dewei replied in a grim tone.
"Time...I will buy us time." Chantria decided with a firm tone.
"How do you plan to do that?" Dewei asked in surprise.
"You say I command the order? Then it goes without saying that I possess some level of authority...teach me how to use
it, how to be a true noble saint." Chantria said, turning to face Dewei with a determined expression.
