Chapter 31: Strongest Student Tournament

The weekend passed by very quickly, Yuki spent most of his time exercising while Yukari looked for a school she could enroll in. Since she was no longer a member of the Chikyu Gado she decided to continue studying.

It was now Monday, Yuki woke up very early to exercise and later cooked some food. He set the dining table and sat down. He picked up the chopsticks and was just about to start eating when Yukari walked in.

"Ohayo, onii-san." Yukari greeted.

(Good morning)

She rubbed her eyes gently while she sat down across Yuki, her blue hung freely. She was dressed in blue shorts which exposed her thighs and a light blue sleeveless shirt.

Yukari looked at Yuki who had already started eating, he was focused on his food and ate quickly.

"Are you going somewhere?" Yukari asked while picking up her chopsticks.

"Yes, I'm going to school." Yuki answered through mouthfuls of rice. "How about you? Did you find a school to enroll in?"

"Yes, it's not too far from here." Yukari put some rice in her mouth and spoke.

"What's it called?"

"That's a secret." Yukari smiled and stuck out her tongue.

Yuki squinted his eyes at her and finished the rest of his food. He later got ready for school and left. Yukari said she would leave a little bit later than Yuki.

Yuki walked out of his apartment building and unto the road, he walked to the bus stop. When he got there the bus was still parked but the doors were closing and the bus had started to move forward.

"Hey!" Yuki ran towards the bus which was already driving away. "Wait!"

He stopped running as soon as he felt pain his chest, apparently his ribs hadn't fully healed yet.

He decided to walk since he couldn't wait for the next bus which was thirty minutes away.

Twenty minutes later at the school, in Yuki's class all the students were seated in their seats while writing a test. Everyone except for Yuki was present.

Tamiko, Derek, Sophia and Captain Sora were the first to finish the test. Taki asked them to leave the class when they were through with the test, Miss Taki Koda was the teacher of the class.

Tamiko, Derek, Sophia and Captain Sora went to wait in the courtyard where they usually ate lunch, they sat at Yuki's favorite table.

"The test wasn't as hard as I thought it would be." Tamiko spoke.

"So have you guys heard anything from Yuki-kun." Captain Sora asked.

"Nooo, we are actually going to visit him today." Derek spoke.

"Can I come too?" Captain Sora asked while placing both her palms together.

"Sure." Derek said.

Back at the class.

Yuki walked into the class and saw the students writing a test, but he couldn't find Derek, Captain Sora, Tamiko or Sophia. He walked up to Miss Taki who was seated at her desk which was placed infront of the class.

"Konnichiwa, sensei." Yuki greeted.

(Good morning teacher.)

Miss Taki looked up from what she was doing. "Didn't I tell you to call me Miss Taki and not sensei." She spoke while adjusting her glasses

"Okay, sensei." Yuki smiled at her.

"You're hopeless." Miss Taki sighed and handed Yuki a test paper. "Here."

"What's this?" Yuki asked while taking the paper from her.

"It's a test script."

"A test?" Yuki's face turned pale. "I didn't know we were having a test."

"Fine, then you can come to my office tomorrow and take the test there." Miss Taki said while taking back the test script from Yuki.

The male students you heard Miss Taki's statement couldn't help but grit their teeth in anger. They had been dreaming of being alone with Miss Taki in her office but the chance was just handed to Yuki.

"Could you wait outside while the other students complete their test?" Miss Taki asked.

"Okay, sensei." Yuki started walking towards the door

"Kinatarou-kun." Miss Taki called out to Yuki.

"Yes." Yuki turned around and faced her again.

"Are all your wounds healed?" She asked with a tone of worry. Everyone in school knew that Yuki, Tensu, Captain Sora and president Tsubaki fought against Silver bear, but only the school staff knew that the fight was because of a jewel Yuki carried around.

"No, not yet." Yuki answered with a bright smile.

"I hope you get well soon." She said before returning back to her work.

Yuki walked in the hallway towards the courtyard where he ate lunch.

'In the fight against Silver bear I was the only one with serious injuries and in the fight against elder Giyu I was the only one who got injured.' Yuki was getting lost in thought as he walked through the hallways. He stared at his hand while he walked, his dark blue eyes were focused. 'Everyone around me is strong, I'm the only one who is weak, I'm probably the weakest royal out there.'

Yuki decided to stop thinking, he placed both his hands in his pockets and walked towards the courtyard. He arrived at the edge of the courtyard and looked the table he usually ate at, it was on the other side of the courtyard. He could clearly see Captain Sora, Tamiko, Derek and Sophia sitting at the table.

He walked towards them without any of them noticing him.

"Hey guys." Yuki greeted.

The moment Tamiko heard his voice she lifted her head and looked at Yuki. Her dark blue eyes met his.

"Miko-chan, it's been a while." Yuki said. "I kinda missed you."

Tamiko's ears turned red, she looked away and spoke timidly. "It's good to see you."

Captain Sora and Sophia looked at Tamiko and then at Derek. It was as if they spoke with their eyes, Derek simply shrugged his shoulders.

"Yuki-kun, how are you doing?" Captain Sora got up and asked Yuki with a smile.

"I'm great."

"Have all your wounds healed yet?" Sophia asked. Her golden colored eyes sparkled through her glasses.

"Yeeeeeeeeha." Yuki wasn't sure whether to tell them about the fight between elder Giyu or not.

"That's not a word." Derek spoke in a tone that implied he wanted to know Yuki's current condition.

"Nevermind, that." Yuki spoke with a smile.

"I tired calling you, but..."

"My phone got broken so I bought a new one and got a new SIM card." Yuki said before Derek could finish his sentence.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

The bell rang breaking their conversation.

"Looks like we should get back to class." Derek spoke before standing up.

The group walked towards the class together, on their way to the class they passed by the bulletin board. There was a large poster that covered almost half of the bulletin board.

It was very flashy, it had the picture of a young boy and girl standing back to back. Above them were the words "THE STRONGEST STUDENT IN JAPAN TOURNAMENT."

It immediately caught the attention of Yuki and Derek.

"Wooooow!" Yuki was filled with excitement when he read the poster.

"Tournament. I'll participate in this and claim the title strongest student." Derek said while reading the information at the bottom of the poster.

"This tournament will be open to the students of every school in Japan, the student must be a kizo user. To sign up for this tournament please go to the student council president of your school." Yuki read out loud.

"I guess I'll go to president Tsubaki after school." Derek said.

"I'll go too." Yuki suddenly spoke.

"Wait, are you sure you want to participate in this?" Sophia asked.

"This is open to all the students in Japan, which means there will be many strong people participating in this tournament." Yuki scratched the back of his head as he spoke. "I see it as a chance to get stronger. By fighting strong people I'll be able to push my body past it's limits."

"Then I'll join too." Captain Sora lifted her fist above her head and declared. "Yuki-kun, I'll make sure that I get stronger too. We are all kizo users and our worth is sometimes determined by our strength."

"What about you guys? Captain Sora asked Sophia and Tamiko.

"I'm not interested in fighting." Tamiko said with a wry smile.

"I'll just watch you guys." Sophia said.

It was decided, Yuki, Derek and Captain Sora were going to participate in the Strongest Student Tournament.

They went back to class and sat at their respective seats. Miss Taki stood infront of the class and spoke. "Today a new student will be joining us, so please welcome her politely."

The next moment a blue haired girl with light blue eyes and a beautiful face walked into the class. Her hair was packed into pigtails.

The moment Yuki saw her he buried his face in his palms, Tamiko and Derek were a bit shocked when they saw her. It was none other Yukari.

"Konnichiwa, my name is Yukari Kinatarou." Yukari introduced herself and bowed.

All the boys except Derek, couldn't help but awe at her beauty.

"Yukari-chan, there's an empty seat behind Yuki over there, you may sit there." Miss Taki pointed at the empty seat behind Yuki.

Yukari looked in the direction she was pointing but her eyes fell on Yuki who had his face buried in his palms.

Yukari pouted when she saw Yuki wasn't looking at her.

"Onii-san!" She yelled.

Everyone in the class was shocked, the guys were confused and they looked for the person who she called onii-san.

'Why? Why? Why did she pick this school? Is it because I study here?' Yuki didn't even lift his face when he heard Yukari calling him.

Yukari decided to walk up to Yuki's desk, she tapped his head.

"Oi! Onii-san! Why won't you look at me?" Yukari kept tapping him on the head.

All the guys stared at Yuki who didn't even react to Yukari who was tapping him, he just kept his face buried in his palms.
