Chapter 12: Black Generator

(PLEASE NOTE: Since this novel is anime themed I will be adding some Japanese phrases, for those of you who don't understand japanese there will always be a translation under each phrase.)

"Hmmm, looks I'll have to create another hostage situation. But this might take up some of my ki." Yuki slowly pushed his right hand towards Silver bear.

"First technique, Blizzard arrows." Yuki said these words.

Snow began to form in front of palm, the snow began to take the shape of an arrow.

Normally kizo users named their skills and called them at the time they wanted to use it, it helped them concentrate and made the skill more effective.

The arrow shot out with speed towards silver bear, six more arrows kept flying out of his hand towards the other six men.

Silver bear was hit in the back by an arrow, the moment he was hit by the arrow his entire body froze and turned into that of an icy statue.

All the six men noticed that something was wrong with their boss. They turned to face their boss and ended up getting hit by the same snow arrows, they also turned into ice arrows.

Only one of them was left untouched, the icy arrow was hovering infront of his face. Cold sweat rolled down his face and a visible expression of fear was on his face, his eyes traveled around his environment. His comrades were now icy statues that decorated the courtyard, the cold atmosphere made him even more freaked out.

'How did this happen? What's going on? Where did these arrows come out from?' His mind was plagued with questions as his eyes traveled around the courtyard, his eyes finally landed on president Tsubaki and captain Sora who were tied up and just as surprised as he was.

"What did you do!!!? How are doing this!!?" He yelled at the girls and slowly pointed his submachine gun at them. The distance he had from them wasn't to great, so he wouldn't miss if he shot at them.

"Hey, don't shoot....." A soothing and gentle voice turned his attention away form the girls.

He turned and faced the table where his frozen boss was sitting.

Yuki was standing next to the frozen statue of Silver bear, Yuki was looking directly into his eyes.

"..... or die." Yuki's voice which was gentle sent chills down his spine.

Yuki created a knife made out of ice and held it in his right hand, he walked up to the girls and cut them loose.

"That was pretty smart, but why didn't you freeze that guy as well?" Captain Sora asked while standing up.

"Well, he might know how to get rid of this dome. Why didn't you guys use your kizo to escape? It would've really easy to escape using your kizo." Yuki asked while scratching the side of his eyebrow.

"The gas they released temporarily blocked us from accessing our ki, which is why we can't use our kizo. You weren't affected because you weren't exposed to the gas as long as we were." President Tsubaki explained.

"Oh" Yuki turned to face the man he kept unfrozen, the arrow was still hovering infront of his face. The man stood completely still, he was afraid if he moved an inch he would suffer the same fate as his comrades.

Yuki walked up to him and asked. "How do I get rid of this dome?"

"T.. t.. there is a power supply for the dome." He said as he stared at the icy arrow.

"Where is it?" President Tsubaki asked.

"It's on the roof." He pointed at the roof of the building Yuki was just in.

They all turned their gazes upwards toward the roof.

"Let's go." President Tsubaki said while leading the way into the building.

Yuki waved his hand and the arrow hit the man's forehead turning him into a statue of ice.

Captain Sora was shocked by how easily Yuki killed someone, although she to had killed someone before. It was different because Yuki didn't even blink.

Yuki and captain Sora followed behind president Tsubaki. Captain Sora kept throwing short glances at Yuki who looked straight ahead.

Yuki noticed her short glances and asked. "Is something wrong?"

"N... n.. no, it's just that you killed those men so easily without even blinking. But when I killed that other guy in front of you, you seemed to be shocked." She said with a look of contemplation.

"I didn't kill those guys." Yuki waved both his hands and tried to defend himself from the accusations. "I only froze them.So they're basically still alive."

"Really? Then that means that you're not used to killing others." Captain Sora said while looking at Yuki's face, her gentle voice seemed soothing to Yuki's ears.

"How can I be used to killing? I've never killed anyone before, I'm only sixteen. Other than that guy you killed earlier, have you killed anyone else?" Yuki looked back at her and said, he had a confused expression on his face.

"No." Captain Sora looked down at her feet. Her tone seemed to have changed. "I know I killed him without any hesitation, but it was hard for me. Yuki you have to understand that you need to do what's necessary, no matter the situation."

"Even if it means taking someone's life, I don't think that's right." Yuki said with a contradicting look.

She raised her head and looked at Yuki. "It's right as long as you kill the bad people, that's what I was taught. We are both kizo users who want to become stronger and we both want to protect others, you must know that to protect good people you have to get rid of the bad ones."

Yuki was thinking hard about what she just said and he understood where she was coming from because he was also taught the same thing.

"Don't worry, I'm sure you'll find your own way to protect others." She placed her hand on Yuki's shoulder.

She immediately felt his ki, it was being depleted. "Looks like keeping those guys frozen us drawing a lot of your ki. Will you be alright? Derek told me your body can't produce much ki."

"Yeah, I'll be fine just as long as we destroy the dome's power supply." Yuki said with a bright smile.

President Tsubaki who was walking infront glanced back at them through the corner of her eye. She was also aware of their entire conversation, she bit her lower lip and thought. 'They're getting really close.'

They got to the roof. Yuki looked at the sky which was blocked by the dark dome, he glanced around the entire green fields which now had a dark ominous look.

"There it is." President Tsubaki said and pointed her finger at a black cylinder positioned in the middle of the roof.

The cylinder had a radius of 12 inches and was 12 feet tall. A buzzing sound could be heard coming from it.

"Captain Sora and I still can't use our kizo, so you have to be the one to destroy it." President Tsubaki said to Yuki.

"Sure." Yuki walked towards the cylinder.

He created an icy gauntlet that enveloped his

right fist. He got close and arched his arm backwards, the gauntlet around his fist was way bigger than the normal size of his fist. He threw his punch towards the cylinder.

Bang!

His punches was about to hit the cylinder when it was stopped by an invisible force.

"Nani!!!"

(What!!!)

Yuki shouted and was in shock, he tried pushing his punch further but it wouldn't budge.

Yuki kept throwing punches at it but it was useless, the force stopping his punch was incredibly strong.

President Tsubaki and captain Sora were both surprised.

"Whatever that force field is, it's also being powered by the black cylinder!" President Tsubaki shouted so Yuki could also hear.

Yuki stopped punching as the icy gauntlet had been destroyed. He jumped backwards and made some distance between him and the cylinder.

"First technique, Blizzard Arrows!"

Yuki pushed his hand towards the cylinder, lots of snow formed arrows shot out of his palm and flew towards the cylinder with great speed.

They all hit their target and a cold fog surrounded the cylinder, Yuki didn't stop and kept firing more icy arrows at the cylinder.

He finally stopped firing. The cold fog surrounding the cylinder slowly faded away. The cylinder stood in the same place unscratched.

Yuki fell on his knees and gasped for air.

"Yuki!!!" Both girls shouted in worry and knelt down by Yuki.

His ki was depleted, the girls helped him stand up. President Tsubaki could feel his body shaking.

'If only I could use my kizo, maybe I could restore some of his ki.'

President Tsubaki could use her healing powers to maybe restore just about of his ki.

"Wait, if Yuki is out of ki doesn't that mean...."

Before President Tsubaki could complete her sentence the door leading to the exit of the roof was slashed open.
