Going to a cafe (2)

Mary felt strange as she noticed that a stranger was continuously looking at her from the corner of the room. He would look away as soon as their eyes met. Mary decided to ignore him and focused on eating. She thought of going to a park nearby for a walk as soon as they were done with their evening snack. It'd be kind of nice for Levi to get out in fresh air.

"Levi, how do you feel about going to a park once we are done?" Mary asked.

"We can go. Mama." Levi said happily.

After finishing the food and paying the bill, Mary and Levi stood up to go out. As they were walking to the nearby park when Mary noticed the stranger from before was following them. She immediately took her phone out of her handbag and sent her location to Damon as she walked to the car instead. It seemed she was right because the guy continued following her. "Levi, stay in the car." She said looking back at him. "Where are you going?" Levi asked worried. "Washroom, I will be back in a minute." She said locking the door of the car door as she walked out. She turned around and saw that the guy was still following her. She went to a narrow alley and as expected the guy followed her. Mary turned around and kicked him down and sat on top of him.

"Who are you?" Mary asked taking his mask off. Mary was shocked to see his familiar face.

"You shouldn't be here." Mary said getting off him.

"You need to come back, Miss Carolina." The guy said brushing dust off him. He stood up.

"Don't call me that and no, I am not coming back. Not anytime soon. You'll go back to country A and forget that you ever saw me here." Mary said feeling angry.

"Miss Carolina, you aren't cruel enough to leave your father behind. He has barely eaten ever since you went missing. If he doesn't find you soon people you know will suffer his anger. Just think of Katherine suffering the consequences of your actions." He said grinning.

"Thank you but Katherine can handle herself and that old man ain't leaving anytime soon. It'd be nice if he does end up dying. Now go back. If I ever see you here again, trust me you are going to regret ever coming here." Mary said kicking him hard in the balls causing him to fall hard on the floor. He groaned hard as Mary walked off.

She rushed to the car and was relieved to see Levi was still there. "It's getting late. Let's just go home." She said sitting in the driver's seat. "Did anything happen?" Levi asked. "No, it's nothing. We can go out some other day." Mary said. Levi didn't question her anymore. Mary let out a sigh and focused on the road.

When she got home, it was late evening, the sun had set and it was nearly night. She took out her phone and saw many messages from one person who was none other Damon. Damon seemed to have been super worried. Mary decided not to reply. She waited to Damon to come home.

"Hey, so I sent you my location accidentally." She said as he was taking his shoes. "Alright. How are you doing? Feeling any better." Damon asked. "Way better than last night. I even went to a cafe with Levi." Mary said as Damon came closer and closer to her. "Really? So was being sick just an excuse to not go to college." Damon asked smiling. "Nuh uh. So I was wondering of we can sleep together tonight." Mary asked him. Not expecting the reply she got. "What kind of sleeping? I am up for both kinds." Damon said smirking. Mary's face turned red.

"Sleeping sleeping, my room. Okay?" Mary said. Damon nodded as he made his way to the washroom to wash his hands and face. Mary fell back on the couch as she imagined what kind of things Mary had dreamed to do with her future boyfriend when she was young.

One of those things was watching movies in bed. Maybe we could do it tonight she thought. She made her way to her bedroom to start preparing. She first made a list of horror movies they could watch.

Mary had a thing for horror movies. She enjoyed them for some reason. After she was done making the list. She then went on to the kitchen to get some snacks. She found Miss Linda making dinner.

"Hey, Mary. Do you need something?" Linda asked. "Don't mind me. just wanted to get some snacks from the fridge." Mary said opening the fridge. Oh boy, had she regretted opening the door. She instantly closed the door and opened it again hoping that she might be hallucinating what she saw. There were no soft drinks, no wine, no beers (Not that she wanted to drink beer and wine), not to mention there were no puddings, no desserts or even flavoured yogurt.

"Miss Linda, why are there no snacks here?" Mary asked concerned for herself. How was she going to live without puddings. "The beverages and drinks are in the mini fridge and the chips and instant noodles are into that cabinet. As for the desserts and cakes are in the bottom cabinet of the fridge." She said.

"Thanks." She said walking towards the cabinet to grab potato chips and two packs of instant noodles. She then took a couple drinks put of the mini fridge and walked to the bedroom. She placed all the foods on the bedside table.

She then got some warm blankets out of the closet and placed them on the bed. She then took out some scented candles she had bought in the past. She didn't light them yet. She then went out and to the dining room for dinner.
