Back Off, the Best Actor is Mine

In Serene’s past life, she gave up her dream for her beloved—only for him to cheat on her, leaving her with a broken heart and a dead child. Given a second chance, Serene is determined to take revenge on all who wronged her, starting with developing the career that should’ve taken off if it weren’t for her wretched ex-husband. This time, she will be the screenwriter of her own life! When fate pushes her to meet the hunky actor, Damon Wilson, sparks inevitably fly. Together, can she and the prince of the silver screen rise above their enemies? — “You built me back up Serene,” Damon whispered into my ear, his lips grazing down my ear lobe to the nape of my neck. His hand cupped my breast, massaging my past heartbreak away. “Damon, you did it all by yourself,” I uttered, releasing a slight moan as his mouth cascaded down to my chest. “It doesn't matter. All I know is I'm yours, forever.” Back Off, the Best Actor is Mine is created by Bella Gold, an eGlobal Creative Publishing author.

Chapter 17: Back Off, Damon Has a Pool Cue

*Damon POV*

I dashed out the front door with two blueberry muffins in hand. I hoped Serene would enjoy this morning snack. She didn't seem like one of those girls who would snub a muffin as "too fattening."

I met up with Serene near the corner, three houses down from hers. I saw that she put up her hair in a beautiful sloppy bun this morning. I don't know how, but she always looked amazing so effortlessly.

"Good morning," I greeted and handed Serene the muffin with slight uncertainty. To my relief, she took it with glee.

"Oh my god, how did you know?" she responded, immediately unraveling the wrapper. "I was trying to grab breakfast but my stepmom and her dreadful daughter were in the kitchen making a racket."

I couldn’t pay complete attention to what she was saying, because the way she nibbled the breadcrumbs was so delicate and endearing. I wanted to clean the extra crumbles on her luscious lips with my finger, but I held back.
