Chapter 47

'What is happening, really.'

Amanda kept wondering.

Ivy had told her Shannon came from an orphanage in Florida.

The she got adopted by Sabrina and moved in to New York.

Surely, in her past life, Shannon was evil and she didn't came from an orphanage.

She came from L.A. and lived in an apartment while Sabrina was working in a bar nearby.

That's where Simeon found Sabrina with a child.

Also, there's no way she'd meet Chase that time.

And Simeon listens to her often.

- Chase

"Sir, the projects have been successful." Michael Hansley reported.

"Good." Chase absentmindedly scrolled through his tablet.

"And, miss Smith is..." Michael paused,

"Having a tantrum? Or worse?" Chase guessed.

"No. About that, maybe she'll be whining on her father and your uncle again about you. She thinks you have another woman." He warned.

"Let her be." Chase smirked.

"Aren't you gonna be worried? The last time she whined over some dog in your house because of the fur problem, your uncle almost beat your hell out."

"So?" Chase raised an eyebrow,

"So? This is a big problem! Unless you have a good idea, I suggest you beg for her forgiveness." Michael slammed his hands on the table.

"Me? Beg for her forgiveness? Why would I, the CEO of this huge company beg for forgiveness on that lowly woman?" Chase bellowed.

But Michael remained emotionless.

"She may be, but she's got your uncle's back." He said.

"Let her whine on that old man. But I tell you, I own this company. I have the power to expel those pests." He warned, dead calm.

"Well, if you say so." Michael exhaled helplessly.

"But whatever the problem is, you better be telling me."

"Yeah." Chase calmed down.

"Is there anything else?" Michael asked,

"Tell that woman that my heart already belongs to another certain person. If things flow by, I'm breaking off the engagement." Chase waved his hand.

"WHAT?!" Michael stared in shock.

"You're gonna tell me it's a bad idea to break off the engagement?" Chase glared,

"You have a woman in your heart?" Michael gasped,

"Yeah." He replied calmly.

"And you keep it hidden from me?" Michael asked sternly,

"I've been waiting for the right time." Chase explained.

"She must be special. No one's ever caught your eye before." Michael mused,

'That's not true exactly.' Chase thought.

'I have loved that same girl in two lives.'
