Mutiny

Big clouds of orange and purple, with a hint of dark grey, floated above the land. They swooshed up and down and consumed each other in a macabre dance of fluff.

"Ah, I wish I could jump on one and be a part of them, and throw lightning bolts at Haniya and Miraaj whenever I want," Lost in the train of her ever moving evil thoughts, Little Isra's mouth contorted into a grin, especially after the last part. she was leaned against a lamp post, a storm was coming and the prelude drizzle had started.

Her schoolbag was splattered open across the roadside, with all the books spilled out and soaking in the raindrops, and her uniform was exquisitely dirty. It was amazing how one tiny human could be so dirty and yet look so wondrous at the same time. Not that Isra cared one bit about looking wondrous—her inherited grey eyes did the job for her.

She was on her way to school but had decided to stop and instead look at the clouds, doing nothing, which was absolutely fine. She belonged more with them—with imagination and wonders. She firmly believed that one day they would adopt her, and she could finally be free of Haniya and Miraaj, her two elder sisters, spawns of pure evil.

Before the train of cloudy daydreams could progress further, a car horn snapped her back.

"Ah, I guess I should get going now." with that, she stuffed the dirty notebooks into the bag and zipped it, looking towards the school. Then, she turned around and started walking in the opposite direction, just like those ever moving wild fluffy clouds.

She had decided that it was time to rebel, time for a perfected mutiny and to run away. The horizon was just across the hill anyway. Today, she had decided that she would jump on the clouds, and they would take her away.

I purposefully wrote the first chapter smaller than normal standards so that readers can instantly connect, Following chapters will be more detailed and the story will develop at a really good pace, thankyou for giving this a read!
