Healing Powers

But he also promised himself at the same time that he would protect them in the future, nobody would be able to hurt them in his presence. He wouldn't ever let them be bullied. He looked towards Shun and saw him brightly smiling as he also started to play with them.

They ate and played with each other, as time passed on, their feelings towards each other continued to grow stronger. Shun and Mira were nearly inseparable now. If Shun was not near her, Mira just didn't feel right. She would feel as if something was missing in her life.

Something important. The same was the case for Shun, he stayed together with her, and the feelings between them continued to grow. Even Elfman and Lisanna could see that those two liked each other and never intervened when these two spent time together.

Elfman felt that if anyone was worthy of his sister, then that was Shun. He wouldn't let anyone else have Mira. As time passed on, Shun felt an unbearable sadness take over him, he knew that the one month time that Zagnivol had given him was almost up.

He was staring at the starry sky and felt someone else approach him. He turned his head and saw that it was Mira. She looked towards his face and saw worry etched onto it, she asked him with a worried expression on her face, "What happened Shun? Are you fine?"

Shun didn't reply for some moments, he spoke with some sadness in his voice, "I apologise Mira. I have to leave today…" Mira's eyes widened as she heard that, she didn't understand why.

Why would he want to leave? Did he not have fun with them? There was only a single question, "Why?" Shun bitterly smiled as he heard her, he told her, "I really had fun with all of you, but I will have to leave. Please understand Mira…"

He suddenly turned his face to hide his own tears, but Mira caught sight of his tears running down his face. She was saddened by his departure, but she tightly hugged him as she expressed, "Alright, I will let you go. But you will have to come back to me when you get the chance."

Shun nodded his head, excitedly, "Of course I will." With that, he jumped down from the building and started to run towards the dense forest that surrounded the whole town. He disappeared into the darkness that shrouded the town right now.

Mira's tears started to fall down uncontrollably, she felt as if she had lost someone vital. Lisanna saw her sister crying and softly patted her back as she spoke in her soft and comforting voice, "It's alright, Big Sister. He already promised to come back as soon as he can."

What they didn't know that Shun also crying as he was running towards the position from where Zagnivol was supposed to pick him up. It started to rain heavily as if nature itself grieved with him.

Nature couldn't tolerate the sadness for this boy and cried heavily, which seemed to be the reason behind the heavy rainfall. Soon enough, he heard a familiar voice, the voice of Zagnivol's wings fluttering. Zagnivol fluttered its wings for some time before it landed on the ground.

He saw Shun crying and knew that he must have had great fun in this human world. But he didn't care much. Time was of the essence. He needed to complete Shun's training before his own time was up.

He didn't wish for his legacy inheritor to be helpless when fighting against someone. Even if that someone turned out to be the Black Wizard Zeref!

Shun stopped sobbing as he saw Zagnivol looking at him with those Big Black eyes. Shun wiped his tears and expressed his desire, "Let's go you big lizard. I will complete the training. Definitely!"

His eyes contained a strange determination that wasn't visible before, Zagnivol felt a little weird when he saw that determination. In these years, even though Shun had learned the Dragon Slayer Arts quickly, it wasn't some legendary feat. It was just average.

But now, he felt as if he was going to watch a miracle. This was what was different from before, his determination to learn, his commitment to master these arts. Previously, he was just learning the Dragon Slayer Art because Zagnivol was forceful.

However, now he wished to be free from Zagnivol. To be with Mira and other humans. It was fun here in the human town, unlike his time in that empty forest.

Shun's cold Blue eyes were shining brightly in this darkness, the rain had wholly drenched his whole body, but he didn't care about it at this moment. He jumped on top of Zagnivol's back and remained standing as Zagnivol took off with its high speed.

It took them 3 hours to return back to their location where they would train, Shun didn't ask for food, he didn't ask for anything and jumped down as he started to train his body. Zagnivol was a bit dumbfounded as to what has happened to him, but he grinned at this change.

He knew that if he trained like this, then he would be able to achieve Dragon Force without that last resort. Shun continued to punch the rock till it broke down into pieces and then started to hit the other stones around him.

Zagnivol watched this happen with a slight smile as he felt as if this was a legend in the making. He suddenly had a thought and ordered Shun, "Perform your Secret Art!" Shun turned around and let out a breath.

He started to channel his Magic Energy and spoke, "Secret Art: Wrath of the Azure Dragon" Suddenly, the temperature of the place began to rise, and Shun extended his hand as he released a small ball of fire in the air.

It started to increase in size, soon it increased its capacity to that of a Basketball, and suddenly it expanded to double the size before. It seemed as if that was the max power Shun could execute right now and directed it towards a Huge Rock.

It was utterly destroyed and was crushed into pieces. Shun turned towards Zagnivol and asked with an almost proud look, "So, how was that?"

Zagnivol looked surprised as he spoke without thinking at all, "Good, I am impressed that you can perform it to that level. Keep training this Art…"

Shun nodded as that was what he planned to do, he was a bit tired because of the Magic energy required for the Secret Art.

Zagnivol's expression turned serious as it stated in its powerful voice, "Since you have learned all the Basic and Secret moves of the Dragon Slayer. The time has come for you to learn the Healing powers of the Azure Flames."

Shun's eyes widened as he heard that the flames can be used for healing, he didn't know about that and a question presented in his head. Zagnivol knew what that expression meant and started talking with slight regret, "You must be wondering why I didn't save your mother, right?"

Shun nodded his head as it shouldn't be a big deal for Zagnivol to save his mother, Zagnivol said with a cold glare, "You seem to have misunderstood something then. I do not use my powers to lend a hand to a human!"

"What!?" Shun couldn't help but exclaim out loud. All his calm was broken by those words he heard from Zagnivol's mouth.

"What? You think I will save a human just because I can? Are you stupid? I saved you only because I saw someone with the potential to inherit my magic. If not… I would have let you die together with your dear mother."

Shun was so shocked that he didn't know what he should say. He wanted to shout at Zagnivol but found no words coming out of his mouth.

At his silence, Zagnivol commented, "Don't act so surprised. After living with me for so many years, are you really surprised by this piece of information? I believe I have mentioned my hate for humans a couple of times in my stories."

Coldly snorting at Zagnivol's comments, he said, "Your stories were just a bunch of tales where you went to a human kingdom and destroyed some villages here, some villages there. Frightened humans just because you were bored and wanted to have some fun! Had your fun and returned to this mountain. You never had a lover… Well, I can understand that. No dragon in their right mind would love you. You think anyone is bored enough to listen to such bullshit stories? I just slept through them all."

A giant tick mark appeared over Zagnivol's head as he shouted out, "HEY! THOSE WERE MY LIFE-STORIES! Incredibly awesome stories! You do know you are the only person who had the chance of hearing those stories and you have now missed it!"

At Zagnivol's shout, Shun got a little angry as he shouted back, "FUCK OFF, YOU GIANT LIZARD! You have lived a sad excuse for a life! Not even a worm will give you any fucks with such a sad excuse of a story!"

Before Zagnivol said anything further, Shun quickly continued, "And you know what? You are right. I should have expected such a response. You are a sorry excuse of a lizard. Now… let's continue the training. You did say you will let me go if I beat you, right? You will be begging me to kill you when I am done with you, you lizard!"

Shun's blue eyes coldly glowered, and the wind around him got stronger as if agreeing with him. Even the great Azure Dragon, Zagnivol sensed the change in his attitude.

There was one thing he was sure of… He had stirred up the core of a great storm.

Zagnivol felt slightly uncomfortable. It was like Shun felt that Zagnivol was the one who killed his mother. But he didn't even make a move against his mother. He felt that reality was rather cruel. He was also cursed though he didn't make a move.

If only he knew he would be cursed, maybe he would have crushed her that day. Not that it would make a difference. She was nearly dead when he saw her.
