039: The Small Beast Egg pt.2

"Well, thank you very much, my lady." Roch smiled.

"You better take care of the little tortoise like our child or else I'll take it back, alright?" She looked at him with threatening eyes. Roch was not scared but felt she was so lovely.

However, Roch was startled at her words, his eyes widening a little. He didn't expect to hear her say, their child, so his heart was in shock. 

Staring at the woman's beautiful eyes, he seemed to see the blooming plum blossoms. He was so charmed that he knew he would agree to any of her requests.

With this thought, he smiled helplessly, "En, I'll take care of it… like our child." Taking the egg from Zemirah, he carefully held the egg that will now be treated as a little ancestor of Whitelock House.

A satisfied smile appeared on her lips, letting Roch know that he did right.

At the same time, in Zemirah's mind, a familiar voice sounded.

"What a good thing," Zemirah murmured after she asked the system to let her see the information on the artifact.

[Introduction]: A nest-type artifact made from warm gold grass that has the function of keeping spiritual beast eggs warm and a certain effect of helping in hatching.

Roch watched Zemirah and when he saw her giving it back to him, he said, "Do you want one for the other egg?"

So Zemirah happily put her disciple's spiritual egg in a nest, the egg was quietly waiting to be given to its destined owner.

"Now that we're done with our business here, let us get going," Roch announced, he took out his flying sword and held Zemirahs waist. 

A blue sword light appeared in the sky, the group of tortoises saw it and knew that the kind lady was gone. 

"Roar~" 

A familiar beast roar sounded in Zemirah's ears before they disappeared into the forest. She thought that those tortoises must be saying goodbye to her, making her quite happy.

In the following days, Zemirah and Roch flew toward the east. Sometimes they are in Roch's flying sword, sometimes when Zemirah wants to rest, they will use his flying boat that can carry a group of people.

The flying boat was a luxury item to cultivators, so using one was eye-catching. Roch tried to avoid using it, but he wouldn't refrain from using it when needed. For him, Zemirah's comfort was his priority. As for the danger that this may attract, Roch was confident in his strength to protect his beloved.

Just as Zemirah planned, she gave her lover a gift every day. Not just because of the benefit of her system, but also to show her affection.

However, that evening, Zemirah handed him something before she entered her room to start practicing. It was a wooden box and inside it was a precious gift for him.

A flute that seems to be carved from precious materials, emanating the power of cold snow and white moon. Roch has been looking for a suitable artifact to use and unknowingly, Zemirah gave it to him.
