Destroying Prides

After Ayensi flew off, baffling the Imperial Knights, they immediately followed by running.

With their strength, they were faster than any horse could gallop. Furthermore, with the crowded roads, the running makes them more nimble for passing through smoothly.

They can't just jump from roof to roof or else, they would disturb innocent people by destroying their rooftop.

Before they set off, they wiped the blood smeared on their lips. They were in public and they don't want anyone to know that they were edentulous now. That was why they were determined that they would not open their mouth.

"Justin! Son, where are going?"

"You dare ignore your father!? Just because you become an Imperial Knight, you act mighty in front of me!? How dare you?! Do not come home from now on!"

The three Imperial Knights were trying not to show any reactions. But from their darkened expression, one could tell their thoughts.

'Wrong time, wrong person! Why!?'

While they barely kept their soul intact, they were near the edge of the Empire's capital city. That was when they felt a thud on the ground. The source seemed far in front of them.

Immediately, they knew where or whom it came from.

When they saw the gates, it was strangely filled with people watching. However, they don't have the mood to think about why, they just easily pass through.

They are the famous Imperial Knights, these people were just commoners. How can they not make a way.

After passing through the wall of people, the three then saw three people from far away.

Upon realizing that the two of them were their captain and Ayensi, they became confused when they saw the beautiful lady there.

'Wait, wasn't she left there?'

The three thought. They just looked at Shiena as the pretty servant like what Ayensi introduced her.

So how did she got there before them?

But thinking that Ayensi must have a technique to make her fly with him too, they were in awe. Making oneself fly is hard enough, but to bring someone with you? That's on another level.

At that point, they no longer ran but just walked until they reached the peripheral of the area, together with the pretty servant.

They wanted to ask how many hits their captain already used but they don't want to open their mouth.

Looking at the crater that Ayensi stood on top of, they assumed that their captain had only used his first attack.

'But he's still not bleeding!? Just how tough is this Yensi?'

"Impressive, you still blocked that without injuring yourself. You should be proud of yourself." Captain Gragan was in his stance as he talked.

"I am, you don't need to worry about that."

"No, you don't understand. I am not only a Spiritist, I am only a Powered. I have unlocked two links that complement each other, putting me on another level than the previous Imperial Knights who challenged you."

Ayensi only smiled as he internally commented.

'I already know that. Your connection to the reality fragments is pretty obvious to me.' he scoffed.

Meanwhile, Shiena felt her heart stopped beating for a while when Captain Gragan continued to talk in a condescending tone towards Ayensi.

'I want to crush him with my thumb! If only he knows who he's offending!'

Her fear turned into anger and frustration that Shiena was itching to punish Captain Gragan.

Sensing her already-restrained intimidation, the three Imperial Knights were confused.

Captain Gragan further explained his strength, consuming time.

Ayensi was about to get bored and just get over with it if he just pinched this talking ant when Captain Gragan finally attacked.

It was a stronger strike that it could literally split a mountain!

However, Ayensi was still unharmed.

'Impossible!' Captain Gragan temporarily froze.

When he snapped out of his thoughts, for the last attack, he finally poured his everything.

He jumped with his nerves bulging. On top of the sky, his sword was raised magnificently before it came down like a meteor.

Swoosh-! BOOM!

A fierce wind blew that even the common people. who were about a kilometer away, felt the strong wind!

"Open your mouth, Captain."

"What!?"

Captain Gragan didn't wait for dust to settle as he waved his sword. He was sweating from that attack alone. He was confident that it would kill anyone who isn't a Guardian!

However, when the scene became clear, the captain didn't know how to react.

Ayensi was still not bleeding...

Just like the others, the captain's pride was attacked and thus, he was baited until he lost all of his bet.

"Caf-ain!"

The three Imperial Knights went to their mentally destroyed captain. They tried to comfort him, however, with no teeth, they are just reminding themselves reality as they open their mouths.

They can only let their tears out.

'With this, Master Yensi should have his bad mood relinquished.'

Shiena then walked over to Ayensi with a happy expression. But when she saw her face, she saw an even darker expression than before.

"...." Shiena was petrified.

'What do I do? What do I do? What do I do?...'

That question was stuck to her head like what is happening to Spirit who was hiding.

"I'm just joking, Captain." Ayensi suddenly said.

The Imperial Knights then looked at him with questioning gazes.

'What part is this is a joke?' they all thought when Ayensi pointed at their mouths.

"I didn't actually take any of your teeth." he jokingly smiled.

But seeing this made Shiena and Spirit's spine shiver.
