Chapter 35: DreamShadow Technique

"Your cousin the boss of Guild Teal Arms," Yui said.

Yui looked at Hara's face as if he was sad and ashamed. After some time, the rain began to fall as everyone entered the dojo.

Everyone was served tea and was given some bread as Hara had informed Yui and the details and their plan to bring him down for good.

"I never knew your cousin could do such a thing," Yui said.

Yui then rose and informed her students that the upcoming match between them and Hara's students has been canceled.

"Wait, canceled! You've got to be kidding me," Hano said.

"So they were here for a fight?" Tahara asked.

"It happens every year," Marris replied.

"By the way, where is Asai Yoshinaka, I haven't seen her yet," Yui said.

Everyone in the room bowed their heads in sadness as Haru informed them that Asai died whiles fighting Misa, her long-time best friend. The students at Kesrarry, Institute bowed their heads as they observed a minute silence for Asai.

"Now then, we need to come up with a plan and fast," Yui announced.

"Not so fast!" Haru said.

Haru informed Yui that his cousin had already captured a flames user Miyaguchi and he intends to open the legendary flame portal to release all the prisoners that we captured and killed by Kado.

"You mean this Kado?" Yui asked.

"No, the legend Kado," Karu replied.

"So how are we going to get Miyaguchi back?" Yui asked.

Everyone in the room turned to each other as they began to think of ideas on how to free Miyaguchi.

After minutes of thinking, Yui came up with a solution of looking for the B-Ranks swordsmen.

"This isn't the time to consult B-Rank swordsmen," Haru said.

"They may die," he continued.

Yui then asked Haru what he meant after Haru explained to Yui that his cousin brought out a B-Rank spear user and magic user which killed Tahara.

"Wait, it killed this guy," she asked.

"So how come he's still alive," Yui asked.

Haru also told Yui and the group that Tahara owns the 7 dark souls and came completely summon one of them at a time.

"He can summon the dark souls," Yui asked.

"This guy can use dark summons," Nakai said.

"For right now, Miyaguchi has been captured for 3-4 days and we don't know when he's going to release her, so for now we keep still and wait," Haru let out.

But still, Nakai said pointing at Tahara, announcing to everyone that he doesn't approve Tahara of being the descendant of Kado.

"Tomorrow we'll have a duel," Nakai said to Tahara.

Everyone turned to look at Tahara as he began to feel awkward and left the room.

Tahara went outside the village and went to sit on a hilltop.

"My Inventory looks full," Tahara said as he picked the Fang and Scale of the Faun.

"Maybe I should just sell these two," Tahara said.

Tahara removed the Fang and Scale of Faun from his system as he was about to hand it over to a merchant to sell but what caught up by Hamadate.

"What do you think you are doing Tahara Kado?" Hamadate asked.

Hamadate asked Tahara to accompany her to where he was sitting. Tahara agreed and accompanied Hamadate to the hilltop.

"Hey, Tahara! What were you about to sell?" Tahara asked.

Tahara then showed the Fang and Scale of Faun to her.

"What are those?" she asked.

[Fang of the Faun]

[Effect: Poison]

[The scale of the Faun]

[Toughness: 4]

"I've never used these items before so I intended on selling them," Tahara said.

"Can you let me use them," Hamadate asked?

Tahara passed on the items to her as she implanted the Fang of the Faun into her sword.

"It merged!" Tahara said.

Hamadate then looked at the scale of the faun as she added it to her blade.

"Do you ever wish to rise to S-Rank Tahara Kado," Hamadate asked?

"Being an F-Rank is good for me, I'm fine with my rank and don't think about other people's Rank," Tahara said to her.

"We'll get Miyaguchi for sure," Hamadate let out.

"Right, let's head back," Tahara said as he smiled at her.

The Next Day...

Next up is Tahara Vs Nakai Shunsuke.

"I'm going to show this kid what the Shunsuke family holds," Nakai let out.

"Let the fight begin," Yui said.

Nakai with blistering speed raced towards Tahara as he withdrew his sword ready to strike.

DreamShadow has been activated.

Nakai dropped his sword as he fell to the ground and began to retreat.

"Wait, why is he retreating?" Yui asked.

"Tahara hasn't even thrown a single blow yet," she said.

"It's because you aren't in the zone," Juba yelled as she tried to explain to them.

Tahara immediately stopped his dream shadow ability as Nakai couldn't move an inch.

"Winner of this match, Tahara Kado," Yui said.

Yui rushed to Nakai and asked him what he saw.

Nakai was unable to talk as Yui took him to the hospital.
