Chapter 26: War

"I still can't believe you are doing all of this to protect me," Miyaguchi said.

"Thank you!" she continued as she started to weep.

Juba walked towards her as she wiped off the tear on her face.

"You know, I don't want you to die," Juba said.

"I want you to live so that we can enjoy the happy days we've always been enjoying," Juba let out as she smiled.

Miyaguchi hugged Juba tight and said, "We'll protect each other soon."

Meanwhile...

Samon was busily practicing his hidden sound ability technique Marris told him about.

I can hear from far places but I still can't master that technique.

"I'll have to master it before the 28th," he said.

Tahara Kado on the other hand was busily training as most of the beginners were watching him.

Wow!

"What's that sword made of?" one girl asked Tahara.

"It's made of steel and their names are Sweeper and Keeper," Tahara replied.

"Can I get one of those?" a guy asked.

Maybe smiled as he patted the boy on the head.

"When you fully master swordsmanship then you will get one," Tahara let out.

"The children have grown fond of you," the elder said as he appeared behind Tahara.

"These children need to grow stronger, even though I'm 16 but still, they need to grow stronger," Tahara said.

Tahara and the elder began to chat for a while Juba came running toward Tahara.

"Tahara! You've got to see this," Juba said.

Tahara and the elder then followed Juba as the others were been called as well.

When they arrived, they noticed something on the news the reporter said,

"Mass killings are increasing in the Hashibiro district.

The people in the district are packing all their belongings and leaving the city.

Some people say it's the end of the world."

Tahara then used his hand to smash the wall.

"This is going too far," Juba said.

"Mass killings! Is it the Guild of Teal Arms?" Miyaguchi asked.

"These guys have asked for war," Tahara said.

"We are going to repay them," he continued.

Tahara then walked to the elder and asked him if can add a few more magic users as well as C-Rank users to the squad.

The elder agreed as he left the room.

Tahara went to the telephone and tried to reach Mr. Chikae Tomomi.

The line went through as Tahara informed Tomomi to send Rank C swordsmen to the Shizuicheng district.

Mr. Tomomi agreed as the Tahara dropped the telephone.

"We'll be having some Rank C swordsmen and magic users accompanying us," Tahara said.

"That leaves Rank B through to S," Juba said.

"We are traveling to Shizuicheng," Tahara said.

One of the elders created a magic portal using his staff as he encouraged everyone to get in.

Juba, Samon, and the rest passed through the portal first.

Tahara and Miyaguchi were the last to pass through.

"May you come back peacefully," the elder said as Tahara and Miyaguchi passed through the portal.

When they came out, the place there was looking calm.

"Where are we?" Tahara asked.

"It appears we have made it to the Shizuicheng district," the elder said.

"But something seems off," Tahara said as he turned around.

"There seem to be lots of people here," Tahara said.

"I thought Bodoe was close to Shizuicheng," Miyaguchi announced.

"What's today's date?" Tahara asked.

"It seems we in then 28th," the elder said.

"So that means what we saw on the television was just an illusion," the elder said.

"It seems you have made it Tahara Kado," one guy said as he stood in line.

The guy smiled as more and more of his guys appeared.

"Don't be too happy," Tahara said.

The elder then used his staff to hit the ground as the swordsmen and magic users arrived at the scene.

"So there were more of them after all," the guy said.

Tahara looked around and spotted Misa and Keita as they had taken the lead.

"I'll kill you, Misa!" Tahara said.
