The girl's brows furrowed as she wondered, why that was happening to her but couldn't quite put her finger on it and just then, she saw the guy who sent her through the process, to be reborn in her dreams and he smiled at her, causing her to flinch.
Adiria felt as though she knew him but had no memories of anything she had seen so far, which made her question her mental health and wondered other things as well.
That night, the girl slept through, without even eating anything, due to how tired she was and her uncle didn't want to wake her up, since he knew that she went through a lot of things.
The next morning, when she woke up, she sniffed a nice aroma in the air and she got up from her bed, then left the room, following the scent, only to find herself in the kitchen, where she saw her uncle was cooking.
"Oh, sleepy head is up, get ready and come for breakfast, today is the day you leave the past you behind, it's only the start," He said as she stared at him then wiped her eyes, since she was still half sleepy.
"Got it..." She mumbled, then went to freshen up, while he placed the food that he made on the table in the living area.
A little while after, when she finished taking her bath and getting dressed, she joined her uncle in the living room to eat breakfast and when she began eating, a gentle smile appeared on her face, for the food made her feel warm and relaxed, due to which, her uncle was pleased as well.
"Uh... Adiria... What's wrong with your hair?" He asked and her brows furrowed then she glanced at her reflection in the glass and her eyes widened, when she noticed parts of her silky dark black hair, had begun changing colour.
"What is this?" She asked and his brows furrowed.
"Must be a side effect of the bracelet, but you are getting a makeover today as well, so it doesn't matter anyway, does it?" He asked and she looked at him then lowered her gaze.
"You are right, it doesn't matter anymore, also I am going to need some time to settle in and make up my mind about a few things..." She responded and he scoffed.
"Relax, it's okay, take as much time as you need, I don't expect you to adjust to your life, how it is, out of the blue," He said and she smiled then thanked him and he patted her on her head and both of them continued eating.
'That dream I was having, for some reason, it felt as though I was looking in a mirror, there was only death, loss and things I couldn't see clearly, I wonder what that was about but one thing is for sure, I am not going to let them get away with it, I have made up my mind about that part, at least,' She thought as her eyes narrowed.
'I am going to find out what really happened, why were the people I called family, cut down right before my eyes, I am going to ruin them,' She thought with a piercing look in her eyes and the uncle smiled when he saw that.
"Relax," He said and she flinched then smiled at him as the bracelet shimmered once again.
A little while after, when both of them had finished eating their breakfast, the girl stretched off, and then her uncle sighed before yawning and she chuckled.
"Smile a little more often, are you ready for your new life to kick off?" He asked and she nodded then both of them left the house, to go into the busiest part of the imperial city.
The place where a lot could happen and people with different types of magical abilities were filled in the area, from different parts of the kingdom, seeing how lively the place was, made her feel a little bit at ease.
Her uncle then took her to a building, one which was filled with women and she noticed it was a brothel, a place which she felt nervous to even enter, but knew her uncle wouldn't take her there without a reason.
"Oh? Is this the young lady you want me to makeover? Saius?" A beautiful brown-haired woman, who was dressed quite well even though parts of her were exposed and Adiria glanced at her.
The woman approached her, placing her hand under her chin, raising the girl's head upwards, while looking at her features.
"She does look quite similar to you, don't worry, I will do a great job and I won't take long so she won't have to be here for too long, just sit back and wait," The woman said and her uncle nodded.
He sat down in the waiting area and Adiria glanced at him then the woman took her inside, to start her makeover, which was absolutely necessary at the time.
After her makeover was finished that day, even her uncle could barely recognize her, she now became someone who only looked similar to Adiria.
"You did a great job with her, get her a job for me as well but not here, don't even think about putting my niece in a place like this, I will kill you," He said and the woman scoffed then Adiria chuckled, seeing how protective he was being.
"All right, relax, I won't even dream of it, I will try to get a job for her," She replied.
"Can you get me a job in the palace?" She asked and the woman's eyes widened as she looked at the girl then a smirk appeared on her face.
"Oh? I see those are determined eyes, fine, I will use the cnnections I have, though your uncle will owe me a big one," She responded and the uncle sighed.
"I will pay the right price, get her a decent job, I plan on letting her do what she wants," He said and the woman scoffed.
"That would be the first, well, leave it to me, I will get it done soon," She replied then they thanked her and both of them left to go do other things.
"I give you a month to settle down and learn a few other things, think you can manage? Then you can go to the palace, how about it?" He asked and her eyes narrowed.
'Fine, I will wait a month, there are things I want to do in the month, concerning my skills," She responded and the uncle smiled, pleased to hear that.
They continued doing what they had to do, which included shopping and preparing a few other things for her to live in her new home.
