“Keep talking like that and you’ll end up like Selena,” I hissed at the female who, to her credit, didn’t back down. “And as she can tell you, losing your eyes is quite painful. Oh, no, wait!” I glanced at her, giving her a wide sarcastic smile. “No, she can’t, now can she?”
Oh, that made her stop dead in her tracks!
Not that I expected her to be a threat or anything. I just wanted her to rethink her actions – hard! And I wanted her to rethink this rebellion, especially since all of their well-being hinged on their acceptance of other races.
Selene had to learn that the hard way…
When I’d arrived at the coven, Selene was still spilling utter bullshit about me, making out the ones that had chosen to stay behind like they were some kind of traitors. At that point, my temper had flared and I’d warned the bitch to shut the hell up or there would be consequences.
