Power-Leveling!

Haru immediately focuses his attention on power-leveling. He creates and annihilates 1,000 mice, gets 'level up' notification, and repeat it. Creation, Annihilation, and Level Up. Again and again, until he maxes out his level at Level 10.

Whenever Haru got 10 Points, he would use them for his Vitality and Mind. At Level 10, his Vitality and Mind are at the whooping 25 points each.

But alas, his Innovate Clear has stopped growing. It seems like he must focus on unlocking his Balance Break next.

Unfortunately, Balance Break of Sacred Gears can only be unlocked by intense training or experiencing a turning point in the possessor's life, which generates intense emotions. Usually, it is a tragedy.

Haru prefers if he never experiences the latter. He gladly accepts the first option at any time.

Of course, Haru has a plan to unlock his Balance Break without experiencing any real tragedy. He plans to stimulate his emotions by using illusion. But, to devise such a method, he must unlock his Magic first.

After maxing out his level, Haru receives several notifications; one of them alerts him about a Class-exclusive Ability called 'Plot Armor.'

Plot Armor has a ridiculous effect. In summary: the upsides are the sharp increase of good luck, survivability in a life-and-death situation, and a fated meeting with relevant people. The downsides are the sharp increase in getting trouble, getting a tunnel vision when he puts his mind into something and a random moment of idiocy.

Thankfully, the skill is toggle-able. Haru has severe misgivings due to Plot Armor's downsides.

The other notification is his confirmation to change his Class. It seems his next Class is called Harem Protagonist, and it has a Level 20 cap.

After Haru equipped the new Class, he obtains a new Class-exclusive skill called 'Aura of Harem Protagonist.' Just like with 'Plot Armor,' it has upsides and downsides.

The upsides: he can subtly influence the opposite gender to fall in love with him easily.

The downsides: he will undoubtedly get the ire of the same gender.

Thankfully, this skill is also toggle-able. Haru doesn't want to make all females fall in love with him.

As of now, Haru has yet to think about his feelings for several girls in his new life. He has those feelings because of the assimilation.

By the way, Polygamy is legal in Japan in this alternate world. It looks like the law regarding prohibition of Polygamy was never applied to post-Word War II.

However, there is a law regarding Polygamy. Only men who can afford to finance several spouses are able to commit the polygamous act.

Haru's late father is one such man who can commit a polygamous relationship. Because the man was quite a famous doctor and surgery, he had a huge salary, which was enough to support his two wives, one son, and two daughters.

Putting Haru's late father and mothers aside, let's return to the present. Haru has romantic feelings for his little sisters, and his rotten predecessor is to blame for this predicament. Therefore, he doesn't need more attention from more women.

Haru continues power-leveling after he equipped his Harem Protagonist Class. However, he quickly discovers that annihilating 1,000 mice only raised his XP gauge by 10%.

It seems like the XP gain from killing a mouse has been reduced by ten times. Thankfully, Haru has no problem with it. He has a ridiculous amount of stamina and mental energy because of his 25 Vitality and Mind.

Haru then creates and annihilates 9,000 mice. He immediately receives the 'level up' notification. He repeats his power-leveling without any strong feelings: creating and destroying 10,000 mice, then obtaining and dismissing the 'level up' report.

Haru repeats that routine until he stops at Level 10 because of a notification concerning his new Class-exclusive Ability!

The new ability is called 'Lucky Pervert.' In short, it increases his probability of experiencing perverted/sexy moments with no real intention of doing so. The example of these moments are,

1. Witnessing a girl's skirt hike up and accidentally seeing her panties.

2. Stumbling upon a girl in a pure accident that ends with a naughty situation like accidentally groping her breasts or getting your face buried on her crotch.

There are other examples, but let's return to the main topic.

Although 'Lucky Pervert' seems like an excellent ability to have, Haru knows the truth. He has seen in anime or manga how those 'Lucky Perverts' ended up incurring the wrath of their victims and became the target of their victim's violent beatdown.

Haru isn't a masochist, so he prefers not to get into that troublesome situation. What's more, he is a bit prideful and has a strong sense of self-respect because of his independence. There is no way he will let himself be beaten down by furious women unless he really deserves it.

Thankfully, this new ability is toggle-able, just like the rest of Class-exclusive Abilities.

As an extra note, Haru's Vitality and Mind have risen to 50 points each.

After that, Haru continues power-leveling until he maxes out his Harem Protagonist Class at Level 20.

At Level 20 of Harem Protagonist, Haru obtain another Class-exclusive Ability called 'Red Thread of Fate.'

That ability is surprisingly useful if compared to 'Aura of Harem Protagonist' and 'Lucky Pervert.' It will ensure any woman, who is in love with him and has entered the third base, stay loyal and devoted forever. In short, no Netorare for him!

'Red Thread of Fate' also has another useful function. It will warn him if his lovers, who have entered the third base with him, experience danger and can transfer him to their location. The only downside of this ability is that the teleportation function will enter a month cool-down period after being used.

Putting Harem Protagonist's last exclusive ability aside, Haru also obtains an alert that asks his confirmation concerning the Class change. His next Class is called 'Fantasy Protagonist.'

That Class is something that Haru has been waiting for. This Class will unlock his Magic if equipped.

Wasting no time, Haru equips Fantasy Protagonist and unlocks his Magic statistic.

Magic! A concept that only existed in fantasy stories in Haru's past life.

As someone who has watched anime and read manga and novels with such a concept, Haru has dreamed wielding this mystical power.

But alas, it was impossible to happen in his past life.

Thankfully, Haru has a chance to wield this mysterious force in this life!

"All right, let's spend my time here to learn magic!"

Like a child in a toy or candy store, Haru is so full of excitement, anticipation, and enthusiasm. He then sits cross-legged on the barren ground and begins meditating.

After meditating for a little while, Haru finally felt something that he labeled as Magic Circuits and Magic Energy in his body. It feels weird because Magic Circuits overlap the location of blood vessels such as major and minor veins and arteries, yet their location is fundamentally different. Meanwhile, Magic Energy, or Mana, feels like his blood, though it flows within the Magic Circuits.

Mana originates from what Haru labeled as Magic Core that overlaps his heart. This energy flows through Magic Circuits and will enter what he dubbed as Magic Reservoir if he doesn't use it. If the Magic Reservoir becomes full, the content will leak out. As an aside, Magic Reservoir exists between his bellybutton and crotch.

In truth, the existence of Magic Core, Magic Reservoir, Magic Circuits, and Mana only exist in what Haru dubbed as the magical body, which overlaps the physical body. An ordinary human who never dabbled in the field of mysticism would never be able to sense their existence.

As a former ordinary human, Haru shouldn't be able to sense their existence. However, he cheated. He's used his authority as the possessor of Innovate Clear to help him to find and feel them.

After discovering their existence, a notification screen popped up in Haru's field of vision in spite of him closing his eyes. In fact, Haru can see his System's Menu and the pop-up screens, whether his eyes are open or closed. After all, the system is a divine artifact that has fused with his existence.

Putting all digressions aside, Haru focuses his attention on the notification without opening his eyes or breaking his meditation. It is a notice about a new Ability, two Abilities in fact, that he obtained.
