THE DAY SHE DIE

"Hey Rain, aren't you going to attend Dan's party?" My friend Shey said as she stood outside the door of the bathroom of our dorm.

"No, I'm busy, and besides I'm sure that you already know what will happen if go there," I said as I sat from the bed of the bunk bed.

"Good," I said and sigh and grab the new book I a just brought from the bookstore and showed it to her.

"Huh?" I ask confused by her response

"Nothing, I mean I thought you will come just like before and tolerate their behavior toward you." She said that made me shake my head in agreement.

"I'd rather stay here and this than go there and be bullied why those kind and caring people," I said with sarcasm.

"I would love to join you here but I can't, I have to send someone out tonight," she said and nodded at her.

"Then go, don't worry about me I don't think I will die tonight." I joke and I heard her mumble something as she walked toward our door room but I could understand it.

"See you?" She said and nodded my head and smiled before she finally got to the door and shut it behind her.

"Au revoir," this means 'goodbye' in french I whispered and I look at the book I'm holding. "Hello, Loving the Empire Star."

"Hmmm…So apparently the name of the male lead is Prince Maxwell of Miracus? But who is the female lead? Why does he have a lot of women around him? What in the world of fiction is this?" I said as I flip another page of the book that is page ninety-nine.

I was grabbing my tumbler when a startling noise made me jump in shock, it was the fire alarm of the dorm!

"Fuck!" I cursed as I run toward the door a little panicked hoping that someone is just playing on the fire alarm again.

This always happens sometimes it even happens twice a week as there are still some bored life students that like messing on the fire alarm.

But as soon as I open the door an overwhelming smoke shocked me the student that is running toward the stairs and elevator as they keep shouting.

I covered my nose and mouth as I started to cough and I quickly shut the door and tried to grab whatever I can on the table and run towards the door.

"Wait! Wait! No!" I said as people start to rush towards and I can feel their bodies slam into mine as they run fast that making me sit on the floor for a second and made me inhale so much smoke.

I tried to wave my hand in front of me trying to make the smoke less towards me when I realize that of all the things, I can grab that may help me, I got this stupid book I'm just reading! Of all the things I could have got why this stupid book!

I quickly stood up and made my way to the stairs when I heard someone calling someone's name.

"Serene! Serene!" This is the last thing I heard before I felt a pair of hands on my back and push me towards the high stairs and in just a snap, I felt my body fall to the ground as I hit my head on the wall.

This doesn't feel like an accidental push at all, could feel the shock my body has acquired from being slammed into the wall as I fall.

"Bye, Rain." A woman's voice said.

And as I tried to open my eyes, I couldn't believe who is the person looking down on me with a smile on her face.

'No, I'm just hallucinating right? she could never do this to me I said to myself inside my head.

"She--Shey…" I uttered as I recognize her.

"Because of you Gao breaks up with me, you steal him from me! She said and took the book from my hand." A tear falls from her eyes as she smiles.

"W—what…I don't know…" I said as I tried to fight the urge of closing my eyes and be eaten by the darkness.

"He said he likes you and couldn't with me anymore, this is your fault! You think you're a princess in a fairytale story right? That every prince will like you? You like reading right?" She said as she raised her hand to me that is holding the book. "Then die to the very thing you like."

"Rou Shao, help me…" I uttered as the darkness finally consume me.

I WAS WOKEN UP WHEN I HEARD a sound of glass clanking that made me immediately sit on my bed and rub my eyes, did I just have a very bad nightmare like that? I should tell it to someone so it's won't happen in real life.

I thought as I sat on the bed shocked because of the sound and rub my eyes.

"You're going to be late for your lesson princess." Someone said as I rub my eyes.

"Oh, I know---wait what? Princess?! When? ----what? Where am I?" I said as my eyes widen as I look around.

Here I am sitting in a huge ass bed with different sparkly things scattered around this huge room.

"What the hell is this?! Where…am I?" I said as grab my hair and thug it.

"Princess, please let us help you get ready to join your father in the dining hall." A lady who came to my age said, she is wearing a black and white dress---I mean every each of them has the same outfit like a uniform.

"P-princess? Who?" I said confused.

"You, you're princess Serene of the Cirrus Kingdom the daughter of the Grand Duke of Cirrus clan that is located on the north of the Empire of Miracus that is being reigned by the royal family of Miracus." The lady said. "Is there something wrong Princess?" she asks as my jaw drops as she speaks.

"Yeah, yeah," I said as I look at her in disbelief. "EVERYTHING IS WRONG! WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING?!"
