Enzo looked at his mother in exasperation. “Mama, I think they know that.”

Phina gazed at her son with sparks in her eyes. “It had to be said. We intend to take care of both Genevieve and Gray.”

“I’m ashamed to say that is what I thought when Gray first contacted us. Unfortunately, we had a sad experience with our son. He wouldn’t let us see Gray so we didn’t know what kind of young man he was.”

“Well now you know.” Phina turned to Gray. “He is much loved by our family. Even at work he tried to do the right thing to his own peril. If my Enzo hadn’t been told he was taken, Enzo would have had Genevieve and Gray sorted out a year ago.”
