REX'S APOLOGY
As we walked down the hallway in silence, it suddenly occurred to me that Mr rude's finger's where intertwined with mine. This was the first time we locked hands. Normally, he would drag me along holding my wrist but never intertwining his fingers with mine. It felt weird.
I didn't waste anymore second allowing myself get use how perfectly my palms fitted into his and I slowly started pulling my hands away hoping he would either let me go or grab me by wrist like he used to. Much to my surprise, he made use of the opportunity to further slip his finger's into mine.
"Stay still, S.B. We are almost there," he said over his shoulders.
"Can you let go of my hand? I will dutifully go with you," I said.
"No. You will definitely bolt," he said, tightening his hold on me.
Argh! Didn't I just say I will follow and I took it upon myself to add the word "dutifully" just to show my sincerity yet he remained impassive.
