Attack On Titan: Devil's Presence

The alley was covered in darkness, it was also the time of night. A man with a soldier's uniform hopped his way towards the end of this alley. On his hand was a long blade, which dripped red blood. The path that the man walked, had the trace of blood. And the source, was three corpses, one man and two women around a corner. The man stared at the sky till he reached the open, and soon he disappeared in the darkness. Only his footsteps echoed. --------------------------------------------- This fan fiction is about a character, who as he interferes with the story, learns more about the world. CHAPTER - 12 { Eren's Titan Power }

Wuss!

Vlad and Krista swung from building to building. Their destination was the inner Wall.

"Vlad, I didn't know that you could talk. I was assuming you a mute"

Krista smiled at Vlad as she spun and took the lead. Vlad felt that he made a grave mistake.

'I should have been silent the entire time...' Vlad was feeling a little frustrated and irritated.

"Look ahead."

Said Vlad. Krista almost hit a glass window because her focus was on Vlad.

"I almost died!"

Krista sighed in relief. This time, she still continued to joke with Vlad but also focused on her path.

Soon, they reached the huge inner Wall.

"Hey! Are there any more soldiers in the town?"

One of the soldiers at the top of the Wall came towards Vlad and Krista, and asked.

"I don't exactly know but I think we are the last."

Krista answered as she remembered the deaths of the soldiers and how they were eaten. The soldier lowered his head at her answer.

He gritted his teeth, tears dropped down his cheeks. Krista immediately understood that his close one must be missing.

"You must stay strong."

She placed her hand on his shoulder and consoled. Vlad glanced at them and shook his head.

He walked around and found that most of the soldiers appeared sad and were grieving.

"Now, what shall the military suggest? This town is likely to be abandoned like Shiganshina District."

Muttered Vlad as he walked on the Wall towards the inner Wall Rose where all the surviving vanguards and middle guards were resting.

Boom!

The huge yellow lighting accompanied by the loud thunder as well as the explosion behind Vlad, caused him to be startled.

He turned around and saw large amount of smoke rising from the inner Wall Rose.

Press.

Vlad ran and shot the hooks on the Wall as he dived to find what just happened.

As the Wall moved past his vision, his eyes widened in shock by the scene before him.

"What the hell!"

As he swung on the Wall, he looked down on the ground at the soldiers and that creature.

It had only half its body till the stomach but no internal organs with some muscles on one arm and its face.

It could be said incomplete.

"A titan? How?"

With the help of the strings, Vlad stood on the Wall surface horizontally.

Not just him, all the soldiers below who surrounded the incomplete titan were shocked.

As Vlad narrowed his eyes, he saw that inside the incomplete titan's ribs, there were two soldiers.

"Mikasa and Armin?"

Confusion was over his face. Vlad didn't really understand anything with just what he saw.

It looked like that the incomplete titan was died but Vlad saw it start moving.

"It's alive!"

Vlad was even more surprised. Titans had fast regeneration ability but to survive in this condition.

"I must kill it!"

Vlad was immediately filled with killing intent. He moved the handles and gripped new blades from the containers.

"It's too dangerous to get close! Maintain your position and remain on high alert!"

"Maintain your position!"

"Have the gunners load another round!"

Below, Captain Kitz Woermann shouted out loudly to all the surrounding soilders.

The canons on the Wall above the area, all aimed their barrels down at the incomplete titan.

Vlad pulled the strings as the hooks came back inside the shooters. He ran downwards on the Wall surface.

Wuss!

Vlad shot the left hook on the Wall and jumped to swing himself towards the dissipating titan.

Even though the titan was dying, Vlad didn't want to take a chance. Might as well slice the nape and kill it quickly.

Some of the soldiers noticed Vlad swinging on the Wall as they pointed their fingers at him.

"Vlad Brisha!"

Woermann had already seen Vlad before in the Trost town's headquartered.

Vlad entered the smoke which slightly obstructed his view but he had memorized the positions.

As he came next to the titan's nape, Vlad was going to slash but then noticed a hole in there.

Also, his vision captured Eren, Mikasa and Armin standing in front of the titan facing the soldiers.

The hesitation caused Vlad to get past the titan and land on the ground.

"Vlad!"

Armin saw Vlad and called him out. The smoke had started to get thinner.

"Soldier Vlad! Capture them! Capture Eren Yeager and the rest! Quickly!"

Seeing a chance appeare before his eyes, Woermann ordered in a rush.

"Vlad! You need to listen to me before you act! Please listen!

Armin saw the situation. He was anxious about Vlad's next move so he requested to him.

"Quickly. Tell me everything."

Vlad maintained his distance from Armin, Eren and Mikasa. It was very suspicious of them to be surrounded by soldiers without any fault.

Armin started explaining as fast as he could to Vlad while Woermann shouted form the other side.

"This is the reason. Eren is a human not a titan. Believe me, Vlad."

Armin spoke in a soft voice. Mikasa tightened her grip on the blade handles to counter any unexpected move from Vlad.

After all, Vlad was more capable than her when it comes to killing or fighting.

'The power to turn into a Titan!' But Vlad wasn't thinking about killing or capturing Eren, he was still stuck at the talk of power.

'I am not the only one with special power it seems...'

Vlad took in a deep breath and stepped back. He put the blades back in the containers.

"I won't interfere, neither will I help."

His voice was loud and clear to everyone present there. Armin was surprised and also a little glad that Vlad didn't want to harm them.

"You! Are you defying my orders! Vlad Birsha!"

Woermann was enraged by Vlad's actions as he shouted. But Vlad just glanced at him and continued to retreat.

On top of a building near the area, Reiner, Annie, Bertholdt and Jean were standing and secretly observing.

Armin clenched his fists and gathered courage. He stepped out of the smoke in front of Woermann with his hands raised.

Vlad stood behind the soldiers line and watched Armin try to convince Woermann that Eren is not an enemy of mankind.

He argued that back then, all soldiers could see Eren fighting the titans and that the titans viewed Eren as a prey.

However, Woermann, overwhelmed with fear, refused to believe this and ordered the soldiers to be ready for an attack.

Vlad closed his eyes and sighed. Woermann had already fallen to a low level in Vlad's eyes when he left the headquarters to rearguard instead of helping Vlad in protecting the headquarters.

No matter what, Woermann had the higher rank so Vlad couldn't openly beat him up. Just not obeying his orders might get him a punishment later.

Armin looked behind at Eren and Mikasa. Then he looked in front.

Stomping his foot on the ground, he slammed his right hand clenched into a fist on his chest.

"I am a soldier! I swore long ago to dedicate my life to the revival of humanity! If that pursuit were to cost me my life, I would be glad!"

"If we use his Titan powers and the force we still have, we could take back this town!"

"With my final breath before my death, I shall wish for humanity's glory, and try to persuade you of his strategic value!"

Armin closed his eyes as he finished his words which might also be his very last.

One of the soldiers, Ian Dietrcih, tried to convince Woermann again as what Armin said could be reconsidered.

But Woermann had already made the decision, he stopped them and raised his hands indicating the weapons to be ready.

"Enough."

It was then an old voice entered everyone's ears. Vlad who looked into the future just now, smiled and turned around to leave the area.

Thanks to the reader who corrected me in the previous chapter about the name. I hope you all continue to help me.
