ALMH Chapter 21: The Great Battle of Karneth Part I
As the dawn rose on the second day, the trees swayed with the movement of the wind. All through the night the wind steadily increased and the temperature dropped by several degrees. A storm was brewing and the dark clouds on the horizon threatened the entire southern region of the continent.
Bakarti warriors busily constructed their traps, digging down deep into the earth or rigging spiked logs to swing across the trees. Trip vines and poison dart traps were also hastily created as time quickly ebbed away.
Emilia tightened the rope securing the platform they made over night. It wasn't the strongest platform but it would do to hold the four archers stationed there. Emilia wiped the sweat from her brow and rested against the trunk of the large tree for a moment.
