Chapter 33: Soul Cultivation

After an hour or so, Alex and Qingyue flew away from the Frozen Cloud Asgard. You could see a hint of disappointment on Qingyue's face. 

In her meeting with Chu Yueli, she had asked all the questions she wanted to ask and the answers she got had disappointed her.

Chu Yueli had accepted that the reason why she had made her practice the emotion-severing art was to remove the obsession Qingyue had with finding her mother.

Moreover, she also told her that Qingyue had the potential to become and Emperor Profound Realm cultivator in the future.

She told Qingyue that she did not mean to harm her, she just wanted to make Qingyue a pillar of their sect that would spend their life protecting the next generation of disciples like she once had.

Qingyue had understood things from her perspective but when she knew that her teacher did not believe in her goals and even wanted her to forget about them, she felt disappointment rise inside herself.

After a few more questions, she left with Alex. She now knew how foolish her decision was of joining this sect in the past was. Had Alex not appeared then, she would have become exactly what her teacher had intended for her. 

She would have been able to reach the Emperor Profound Realm at max and would have been stuck her for her life.

She felt even more grateful to Alex when she thought of everything like that. 

From this moment on, the Frozen Cloud Sect had nothing to do with her. All her loyalty, her love, compassion and devotion, everything belonged to Alex and her family.

Alex knew that Qingyue might be having some deep thoughts after having met her once teacher, so he did not disturb her during there journey and let her have a peaceful time to sort things out mentally.

Alex had made up multiple plans about how he was going to do things in the future. And he came to one conclusion by the end of it all, and that was that he needed an army other than his own Shadow Army.

The Shadow Army was going to be crucial in his plans regarding the reshaping of the Primal Chaos. They could not be exposed unless the enemy was going to be killed. 

And for this army of his, he already had some perfect candidates in his mind. But, he needed some things before approaching them.

But, they were the things for the future, for now he had decided to return to the Floating Cloud City as Qingyue was eager to meet her family and make up for the past few years. Besides, he also had some things that he had to do there, his disciple was waiting for him there.

So, they moved towards the Floating Cloud City. 

Within an hour they reached there and as soon as they went inside the Xia Mansion, Xia Qingyue went to talk with her father and brother who had returned home too.

Their reunion went on for several hours during which, Alex was laying on a bed in the guest room.

"Tomorrow was going to be the day when Yun Che was going to reincarnate. Will he still be able to reincarnate with the changes I have done? "

"Well, I will find that out tomorrow. "

Alex's thoughts then drifted to something he had found out during his journey to and from the Frozen Cloud Asgard.

He had found out that there were many stray souls that wandered around. He knew that the well of reincarnation was broken and Yun Che and the Ancestral Goddess were only able to reincarnate due to the Ancestral Goddess's powers and authority.

He did not sense them before he started practicing the Primordial Soul Devouring Art. Even though he had not entered the first stage yet, but it still gave him the ability to sense and see souls.

He was worried before that due to the Soul Cultivation, his Shadow Army's growth might be slow as they also require the soul alongside a physical medium.

But now due to the fuck ups the True Gods and True Devils did eons ago, will provide Alex with enough souls to reach the epitome of the Soul Cultivation.

"Why am I even delaying this? I need to get stronger as fast as possible. Only with strength will I be able to do what I wish to."

"I guess I should go right now." saying so, Alex disappeared from the room and went to a forest nearby where he felt the presence of many souls.

These souls lacked intelligence, they were not even moving at all. 

Alex sat in the lotus position and started to use the Primordial Soul Devouring Art and as soon as he did this, the surrounding souls started to get attracted towards him. 

A purplish aura began to come of his body and as soon as the souls touched it, they were instantly converted to small light particles, these small particles were then absorbed by Alex's body and this process continued again and again. 

With every light particle getting absorbed into Alex's body, his soul started to get more and more stronger.

Alex then opened his eyes and felt that this was actually working and making his soul stronger. He then noticed that the souls that he had not absorbed were trying to get absorbed by his body. Maybe they had existed for far long and could not wait to be liberated or more like destroyed.

Alex remembered that there was an Array Formation known as the Soul Gathering Formation that could attract the souls in the surrounding area towards itself.

Without wasting any time, Alex created a Sovereign grade Soul Gathering Formation and once again started to cultivate.

Not knowing that this move of his had gotten him the attention of the current most powerful beings on this planet, the Divine Beasts!
