Subsequent Fall Part 9: Resolution

Adam sat back as Achilles sat next to him on the bridge. "Which one calls first Achilles? The Independents or the rebels?" Adam looked at the table as his new ships could secure any planet with only a handful.

Neigel walked to the bridge. "Sir, how are the ships performing?"

"Well beyond our wildest dreams. I don't know how to replicate the Everlast's armor or the Ambassadors shielding. But they are dominant versus the others." Adam handed the reports over to him as they had a ring.

"Well," Achilles pressed the button as the video call appeared. "Hello and welcome to the galactic pizzeria, last week's battle wounded is today's sauce."

Adam chortled a laugh in as Kaenester rolled his eyes. "You have control of two thousand planets and you think that's the appropriate response to someone coming to discuss peace?"

"Yes." Achilles smiled into the camera as Adam picked his head up.

"I am not going to apologize for him. However, we do have an interesting opportunity to settle this and create peace between us." Adam showed the holo map.

"Yeah, give me back my shit." Kaenester shouted.

"I mean that's the plan."

"Wait what?" Kaenester was taken aback. "You took over the empire and became their ally to barter their taken territory away in peace negotiations?"

"Oh exactly that and if either you or the rebels took them over it would just be a war between you two and God Emperor cleans house with too many forces." Adam held his tablet up.

"I still have to make a deal with Valkira yet. But I have this weird feeling that she wants to join us. We will wait and see but I have a deal to make." Adam smiled. "I return fifteen hundred of your planets back into your control, and they are represented in the empire and the independants?"

"That sounds as fair as possible." Kaenester put his arm out to the screen. "Send me the document to sign and we call this the Recovery act?"

"Deal." Adam tapped a button as the document was sent over. And a copy was sent to the senate as they got to see it. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the rebellion in mass, the entire armada and fleets.

"Kaenester, we have company, so just stay on the line for a moment." Adam put his hand up as a barrage of plasma fell apon the station as its shields repelled the attack. Adam pressed a button. "Last offer, give up or I will send the same fleets that have destroyed many others of your fleet."

Valkira tuned in. "No, I will never surrender."

"Red Merle, are you charged?" Adam identified the ship that Valkira was on.

"Ready and waiting." A blue hue covered the outside of the station as the refraction tunnel glowed a baby blue.

"Hit us with your best shot!" Valkira shouted as Adam waved his hand in dismissal. The blue plasma destroyed all of the ships outside of Valkira, all of her friends and allies she had made along the way, destroyed, at once.

She dropped to her knees as their ships evaporated. Disconnected from the call. "Why, what did I do to deserve this?" The bridge panicked and fled as they saw the cannon cool down. The Ambassador appeared in front of Valkira as it slammed a boarding tunnel into the bridge. Two people stood on it.

"Why did I fail, where did I go wrong." Valkira was crying as Angel and James went down the tunnel. "You need to go away." She felt betrayed and backstabbed, the resources of the planets she used and the people she recruited, all gone.

"It's not your fault you walked into a stronger opponent, we can teach you how to overcome that, besides." James placed his hand on her chin carefully, lifting her head to see into her eyes as they were welled with tears.

"We displaced them back to the solar system you came from. They aren't dead, but have no recollection of what just happened, you and the crew on this shuttle will have the same thing happen unless you agree to our terms." Angel wiped her tears away with her thumbs.

Valkira was silent. "We ask for the rebellion to be the face of the new empire. Become peacekeepers across the galaxy, working with the galaxy and its wrongdoings, trying to make them right, and all we ask is to train you." James crouched down next to her. As she clung to him.

"Yes." She spoke in a quiet whisper as James lifted her up once more, despite her being a foot taller than him. They walked back up the boarding tunnel as the Ambassador sealed the breach. A focused baby blue beam blasted the ship as the Ambassador became clear of the blast and back to the Red Merle.

As they docked they went directly to the bridge to set the final treaty between the rebellion and Adam. Valkira walked with the twins to the bridge as they started a call with the senate of the empire and the rebellion. "I have agreed to these following terms. The rebellion will help rehabilitate the galaxy!" Valkira announced with a large amount of vigor.

"I will be working with the Astral alliance and prepare to take down the fascist leader of God Emperor!" Valkira signed the tablet in front of the camera as Adam signed it as well.

"Thank you for joining us." Adam bowed to Valkira as she and the twins walked away from the camera to the training room to prepare for an eventual showdown versus her dad.

"I hope the senate does not feel like my actions are unjust, but can build the galaxy into a peaceful state when we leave." Adam smiled as the people in the senate were now confused.

"Why are you leaving soon?" The golden robed lady asked.

"Yes, Astral and his wife will be back eventually and after creating peace to this amazing galaxy we will be on our way to a new place and experience." Adam bowed as the senate applauded.

"Universal peacekeepers!" They clamored and hailed Adam as a hero, Adam did not see it this way, it was a dirty war and it's an even dirtier job. The bloodshed of millions will forever rest on his mind.

"We will have an official peace treaty called the Adam Accord here in two weeks if everything is going smoothly. I hope to see you all here and safe travels." Adam ended the call as he was happy to be successful in the place of Astral and Jaimie.
