Subsequent Fall Part 45: Work in Progress

Astral never seemed to emerge as all of the generals and higher ranked individuals were waiting for the green light on two separate missions. Where Astral was, is making his next groundbreaking invention.

Each one of the AI's also couldn't be found as Adam stood on the bridge in confusion. Where could they be? Adam had the sense that they were all meeting together for one reason or another to develop a new piece of technology, he sat across the bridge and kept directing the excess goods back to the milky way.

"You are asking if we can figure out something to scout out the nearby galaxies rather than traveling there to scout and scan it all?" Alexa asked, still confused like the rest of the AI's that all were listening to Astral ramble.

"No, I am asking if we can refine it to alert us of hostiles coming to attack us." Astral drew a small circle with several dots around it. "If we are the middle circle and the people coming to attack us are the dots, we don't have the scouting range to see when these targets are approaching."

"You want us to create a vector radar that funnels all the direct sources that are moving at us?" Shiro's eyes went blank as she started running the different numbers and variables needed for the radar.

"So if you are setting the Merle as the center point. We have to find the distance that maximizes the reach of it all without having every moving object being pinged on the radar." Murphy looked at the drawing as Astral constantly added to it.

"Well, what if we used a ftl detection device?" Kayla commented as Astral clapped, they figured it out as Jaimie stood in the doorway of the core, looking up into the AI's and Astral. "So any object who is traveling faster than light across all planes of existence will be noticed on the radar."

"So, if we have the idea, and the requirements, all that we need to do is create this radar. And work on the distance setting." Astral pointed over to Shiro as her head was spinning. "Shiro, are you okay?"

"Too. Many. Numbers." Shiro vomited as all the numbers just started to hover as Alexa and Kayla started rubbing her back. Astral pinpointed the numbers he needed and put them together inside of an empty shell that was needed.

"So, what will power it?" Murphy asked as a flash of white light appeared. The device was created inside of the pocket dimension by Hephaen and Astral as he holds it up for them. Looking around, it clicked for them.

They looked at the one who didn't speak the entire time. Merle's flame burned a bright blue as they watched Astral hand the radar over to the flame as it took it into the rest of the core. Hovering there it magnetized to the side of the shell as a green wave of energy surged from the box and the entire core.

Astral landed next to Jaimie as the AI's went back to the bridges. "The radar screen should be viewable from either bridge." Astral smacked her ass gently as they started walking away from the core after sealing it.

"Will it have that big of an impact where it will matter to have this radar? Not doubting that it won't work, but could you not toggle the foresight ability?" Jaimie asked as they were running down the hyperlane to the north bridge, the message was sent for the people going to the void planet to meet there.

"That is the issue, I don't want to rely on it, it was activated by Prophet and Mu to attack and damage my brain." Astral stopped as did Jaimie, the hyperlane car passed above them. "When I saw us all being destroyed in the one vision we were in this solar system, I recognized the sun and I fear we may not succeed."

Jaimie walked over to him as tears quietly filled his eyes. "Astral, nothing will ever stop us, let alone you." She gently raised his head with her hand as her other arm wrapped around him. He stopped creating new tears as Jaimie wiped them away. "It's okay to be human, because we still are after all." Astral nodded as he was happy to be soothed by her once again. He dropped into a stance to show he was ready to race her as she took off. 

The two arrived at the north bridge with a bang as Airsoft, Angel and James were knocked back by the soundwave pushing them over. Adam looked over as a monitor dropped down, it was a radar as Adam pointed to it. "Why are we using outdated tech when we can look out the window and realize there is no one?"

Kayla appeared above him and tapped his head. "Silly Adam, we wouldn't make something useless, can I tell him?" Astrid stretched out as the Merle started to orbit the void planet. Astral nodded as Kayla got excited. "All this radar does is diagnose what is coming at us at speeds faster than light, across all dimensional planes."

A wave and ooh's and ahh's were heard as the others were impressed. "Due to Achilles being in the medically induced coma, Alice wanted to do some freaky shit I guess, she asked us to do it." Everyone was clueless outside of Jaimie who smacked Astral lightly. "Astrid, you get to lead this mission, Zeta will be with you as overwatch and between you three." Astral pointed his three fingers at the remaining crew.

"You are there to scout what the fuck is happening on the planet. Holding this will keep you safe from the void's draining effect in the radius." Astral summoned Beacon as he tossed it to Airsoft who caught it. "Once you five have the information of what happened to the planet. I will wash it out with the purifying light of my soul from that weapon."

They all were amazed at what Beacon actually was, while also not being caught off guard based off of his power. The four of them met Zeta next to the shuttle as they went to the planet covered in void.
