The empire's admiral already formed a defensive line around his capital ships as the lead ship was being pulled away by the Ambassador. "We need reinforcements, Emperor." Ymatana communicated to the capital city.
"No, you have one wave of thirty to buy you an evac window, pull out now!" The Emperor shouted through the communication system as he turned it off. Two people entered his chamber.
"Sir, this war can't keep going on forever, you are losing the will of the people." The lady dressed in a fancy gown shouted at him.
"You will drain the resources of the empire if you keep this up." The man in the flowy tuxedo commented.
God Emperor stood up. "You are both correct. I suppose it's time for me to take action. Martial law will now be enforced across all of our planets. We will bring the rebellion closer to us and hit them where it hurts every time."
Both the other faces turned to shock as God Emperor pressed a button on his desk revealing his battle suit. "I will go across the galaxy myself and enforce this travesty."
"Defense fleet triad is currently at their final line, tell them to push harder?" Astrid popped up the feed.
"Make a hole for the capital ship of theirs to escape. Then send Laz after the capital ship and keep Pete's crew on standby." Adam spoke as a stray shell from one of the empire's ships struck the Red Merle.
"Their ships are on par with the Sacramentums. Theta, blow a hole in their side and force that fox out of the hole!" Adam yelled as defense force theta cracked hard on the left side of the fleet.
"Everyone, retreat, fall back to the nearest empire planet." Ymatana commanded as the reinforcement wave came in to broadside both fleets.
"Sir, do we engage?" both defense fleets asked.
"Cripple their engines and take them prisoner, after they flee, join Laz with what's left of your fleets." Adam gave the signal as the defense fleets dove down and fired their heavy artillery directly into the reinforcements' engine bays.
"Counter fleet Nylon, are you prepared for a boarding party mission?" Adam looked as the fleet retreated using their jump drives.
"Sir yes sir!" Neigel sounded ready for his first bit of action.
Counter team Laz entered the close pursuit of Ymatana as Theta and Triad joined him. As for Zane aboard the Ambassador. His mission was going swimmingly. Zane had successfully boarded the bottom of the enemy ship with Sal and Jax by his side.
"Sal take the left hallway, Jax take the center. I'll go right and we will meet at the bridge." Zane yelled out as the clones stormed the hallway. The close quarters and hallways meant being careful of crossfire and ambushes.
"You lot stay here and keep our flanks sealed!" Zane shouted at a group of clones as his squads progressed forward. "Riot shields in front to tank for the rest of us." A small handful deployed their shields as they went down the hallways.
Their bulky armor helped the empire as most of the small arms from the clones bounced off their shells and into the hull. Then everything went dark as the squads halted. "Deploy night vision." Sal commanded his unit.
"Hold on one moment, power will be back on shortly. You five get to the engine room and make sure they aren't going to implode it!" Zane smashed his hand into a control panel and put a small computer chip. "Don't let me down."
"Hello, Minnetonka here for all your hacking needs. What's the matter now?" The Ai chirped with a feminine voice at Zane.
"Open all doors and turn the lights back on. Disable anyone but my men reaching their engine bay." Zane held his shotgun at the door as it sprung open. Zane railed the shells in his shotgun as he dropped the squad on the other side of the door.
"All done, leading the other clones to the most direct routes to their destination." Zane pulled the chip and put it back on his wrist as he reloaded.
"Back at it boys, I'm taking the lead, CHARGE!" Zane ran forward with his shotgun in front of him. Flanked by his men they reached the bridge in no time flat as the blast door was welded down.
"So, now what?" A clone chirped up to Zane.
"We bust it down." Zane placed explosives around the rim of the door. "Alright every down the hall, we want to be far away from this as comfortable." Sal and Jax came from their hallways as Zane laughed.
"Blast off boys!" Zane pressed the button as the explosive started to sizzle before it melted the entire door into smoke. "That's what this does, fucking lame." Zane looked at it as Sal and Jax charged in with their rifles, dropping the five guardsmen on the bridge. The officers raised their hand as Zane walked in and put the chip on the center table.
"Gentleman, we came in peace, then turned your men into pieces. Cooperate and we will ship you back to the empire in a non wooden box." Zane smiled beneath his helmet. He wanted to mess with them and let them live.
"Die you rebel terrorist!" One of the officers raised a gun at Zane as he got domed by one of the clones standing in the doorway.
"Anyone else want to join their comrades?" Zane held up handcuffs as the officers raised their hands. "Sit them down in the holding cell aboard the Ambassador and get Astrid here to interrogate them." Zane waved his hand as some of the clones entered and escorted the officers.
"What does Adam want this ship for?" The chip chirped up on Zane's wrist.
"I have an idea he wants to find its weaknesses and strengths and use it for a new generation of ships, our stock ships are strong, and the Ambassador and Everlast are many generations ahead." Zane pointed to the ship's schemes that they were in.
"So he wants to improve the overall design of the next gen of ships?" Sal asked as he looked at the bridge's control panels.
"Exactly. He wants us to be in the best spot possible." Jax had a slow understanding of it all as they watched their fellow clones clean house versus the other ships in the area.
