Astral's Rise Part 96: Deserted Desert

Astral and Jaimie were away with a flash of light as the two of them were in a desert. "Oh what the fuck is this?" Astral and Jaimie looked around at the porous conditions.

"It looks like alot and alot of sand." Jaimie ran her hand on the ground. Its brittle touch caught itself under her nails.

"Great, just fucking great." Astral kicked the ground as sand flew through the air away from them. Jaimie lost her balance as she became woozy from the travel. Falling over, Astral managed to catch her.

"Hey, its okay, sit down." Astral lowered her to the ground as he created a barrier with the sand, turning it into stone.

"I'm just lightheaded." Jaimie ran her hands through his hair as he pulled out a water bottle.

"Drink all of it. Traveling by the pocket dimension seems wearing on people that aren't me." Astral watched her suck the bottle dry in moments.

"I think I want a different water." Her eyes turned into hearts as Astral laughed.

"Let's find a house to stay at for a night before we leave in the morning." Astral offered Jaimie a hand up as she took it. Resting her weight onto him. They started to walk as the suns beat down on them for miles.

Their sweat soaked through their clothes as they stripped down to being topless. The heat became unbearable as they stopped at the top of a sand dune for a water break. Astral and Jaimie both downed their summoned water bottles.

"It's too hot." Jaimie fanned herself as Astral waved his hands above him. A breeze began to blow a soft and gentle winter feeling. Jaimie perked up as it went from too hot to too cold. "You are a bitch." She put on her bra once more.

"Its better than walking in one hundred and twenty degrees fahrenheit." Astral kept his shirt off as she stood back up. "Now it feels like seventy."

"Using your own spells as an AC. I like the creativity." Jaimie extended her arm as Astral was hoisted up by his wife.

"Well, now we can travel comfortably till night." Astral pointed forward as they started to walk once more. "The only thing I do not get is why do people live here?"

"If people live here I would be shocked." Jaimie looked over into his eyes.

"But all of science fiction loves desert planets. It's too hot, or cold, and dry." Astral held his cracked hands up.

"Less lube, more lotion." She poked him in the side lightly as they finally saw a house.

"Jesus christ lady, that's depressing it took this long to find a place." Astral and Jaimie worked their way to the house. "I wonder if there is some way to blow off some steam?" Jaimie rolled her eyes back, fainting from the extreme heat. All of the ice from the spell had melted at this point.

Astral held his hand out and snagged her back to him. Tossing her into his arms as he sprints into the house. The wave of cool air hitting the two of them hard as Astral becomes shocked. The two people inside holding their kids look up in shock.

"Who are you?" The human lady yelled as the man stood in front of them.

Astral fell face first into the ground and moaned. "It's too hot in this place." Jaimie flipped over on top of him. Astral waved his hand dropping a pile of snow on them that instantly dissolved when it touched their bodies.

One of the children reached out to the snow. Astral tilted his head up and handed the child a snowball. It held it in her hands as she ogled at it. "Answer us." The man pointed a rifle at Astral and Jaimie.

"Sir, its rude to point a rifle at your guests. We just need to rest in the shade for a few hours and we will go back to space." Astral didn't move as Jaimie sat up. Grabbing another water bottle from Astrals bag.

"How do you live here, we walked hundreds of miles in the sandy dunes." Jaimie poured the rest of the water on herself as Astral got drenched from the bottle as it ran down her. He stayed on the ground as the barrel was lowered.

"First, why did you walk? The sun's reach a surface temperature of one hundred and forty degrees." Astral signed as Jaimie grabbed another water bottle.

"Stop getting water all over the place!" The lady yelled as Astral absorbed all the water into a ball. Jaimie finished her water bottle and handed it to him.

"Uh, we could have ran, but, too much heat." Astral tried being smart. "Oh and none of my vehicles are greatly adapted for sand." Astral sat up.

"Well, when our eldest son gets back we can get you to town to get you off the planet." The husband pointed to the doorway. "For now you can relax in the kitchen and cool down." Jaimie hopped the rest of the way upward. Pointing her arm at the generous husband as she winked. Dragging Astral with her as he focused on the water ball.

The husband blushed as his wife cradled her kids. "Well, you think they can teach him something?"

"Beyond anything the old geezer can." The husband looked over. "But I don't know if he can help them hone it." There was a knock on the door as the husband answered the door. It was the very old geezer they talked about.

"Astral, do you think they want us to bring along their kid? For safekeeping?" Jaimie asked as she rung out her bra.

"They want their kid to do great things, but if they want to come with us they can gladly." The old man knocked on the door as Astral gave him the thumbs up. Jaimie put on her bra quickly as the old man entered.

"You do know half of the galaxy is after you in this current moment?" the old brittle man in robes spoke to them with his skeletal frame.

"I mean, we didn't just piss off all three factions by taking critical information from all of them and crippling one of them." Astral took a sip of tea. Jaimie tapped him as she caught the cookies falling from the sky as he warped them in.

"So it's worse than what you put on." The old man looked at the two of them.

"Yop" Jaimie responded with her mouth full as Astral started to giggle a little bit. She swallowed the cookie. "What's the worst thing that can happen?" Astral's hand went skyward as his ears twitched. A massive explosion was heard as the other two adults stormed into the room.

"Pack your things. It seems more people want me dead than I thought." Astral held his hand up. That blast was big enough to shatter the moon that he did. They have that level of destruction?

"Pack everything and put it in one pile. Astral can keep it for spare keeping, when your son gets back we can leave." Jaimie tapped Astral's shoulders to cheer him on.

"What did you two do?" The husband asked as the old man waved his hand for them to exit the room. The eldest son came barging in.

"Mom, dad! Its the mechanical union!" he shouted from the living room as they hugged him.

"How much time can we buy them?" Jaimie asked as Astral nodded his head.

"All of it." Hephaen dropped from above the army and started fighting them off with his mix of ranged weapons and melee weapons. "Besides, we still don't have a full evacuation idea. Wait." Astral extended his other hand as a flash of light happened with a thud following it. "My private shuttle."

"Hey, we never got your names but we have something to get us away if you want to put all of your things in the shuttle right outside!" Jaimie yelled as they listened. Filling the shuttle with the essentials.

After an hour of combat. The shuttle was filled with their belongings. Astral and Jaimie looked inside and gave them a thumbs up before they lifted off and away as Hephaen went back into the pocket dimension after destroying a legion of droids.
