They elevated him beyond what he thought he could be. Coming back he would be next to everyone. Adam and Anders still were with Lucky and Jaimie came by once again and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"You are going to have to show me that breathing trick. It seems helpful." She spoke as the twins were bored playing with Nyan. chasing it around playfully. Astrid just was using her eye as a laser pointer and all three of them were chasing the green beam from her eye. "God those kids are goofy." Jaimie giggled while watching the three of them climb over each other chasing the light.
"Yeah, they are ours though." Astral speaks while pulling out a notebook from his pocket dimension. Taking a note of the kids and their habits. "If you want, try and test their knowledge a bit." looking up at the timer he had a minute.
He gave her a kiss on the cheek. "I'll be back in about a couple of minutes." He started to make his way to the arena again. But when he got there and saw Kyodai and Imoto again he was perplexed.
"Begin round ten." the gods announced.
The two rushed at him. Much slower than two of them actually moved. He was concerned by it. Was this opponent a necromancer? He would use his murasama to block their slow and weak attacks. He would slice off Kyodai's arm. Who would back up as Imoto came at Astral. Who would kick Imoto away.
Astral was confused, he just faced these two, and yet neither of them are using their skills that they had. Astral would back away from the two so he could watch and observe.
Buying time for Kyodai to shapeshift into a griffin. Who would fly at Astral and pounce on him. Astral would throw him upward while slicing off a back paw of the griffin. Astral would see what this is. Just a ruse to fool him.
Imoto shifts into a bear and rushes Astral down. Astral wasn't impressed. Slicing off the arms of the bear, sending it backwards. "If you are other creatures controlled by a higher power. It won't save you."
The griffin pounced on Astral pinning him on the ground. "We serve no one." The voice echoed as the front paw came down to crush Astral's skull. It seemed to have glided right through.
Astral's voice called from behind the griffin. "No one to save you." Astral's sword would slice the wings off of the creature as it scampered away to hide behind the bear who regrew its arms.
"Eh, what the fuck?" Astral would grab the bear arms that were still on the ground as he watched the wings reformed of the griffin. He would glare at them, his sword held in neutral.
The two would both come at him at breakneck speeds. He would narrowly jump over them, to slash through them. The bear rolled to the left of Astral, turning into mush. The other had different plans.
It would morph into a basilisk and stare directly at Astral. Who's armor flared to life, the visor of his helmet went dark. He couldn't see much, but saw the core of the creature by looking into its body. He freed himself from the basilisk and dove right down its mouth with the help of its wings.
Carving it to pieces from the inside out. His sword slashes shredding the insides all across the arena. Leaving just the core of the creature left. Astral held it in his off hand before crushing it with his hands.
The other one at this point had become a dragon. Staring down Astral, killing its sibling. Astral was ready to have fun and experiment with some of his weapons versus dragon hide. He put away his murasama before pulling out his magnum and aiming at the dragon.
It would claw at Astral, rolling left to avoid the massive paw swiping at him. Aiming down to the right shoulder of the dragon he unloaded five rounds that pierced through the hide as he would switch to his rifle.
Astral would look and tag the skull and slap a sticker on the dragon while sliding down its back. It tried to slash at Astral while he hovered in the air. It would slash the aftershadow from Astral as he was on the ground aiming.
The dragon roared in anger and would launch a fireball at him. Which he seemingly walked through. Aiming the rifle right at the dragon's left eye. With one shot it connected creating a blind side. With another roar of pain the dragon would swipe its tail around on the blindside. Astral was out of reach of the creature. Smiling, he pulled out his sniper.
Astral made sure to be in the complete vision of the dragon. "How does it feel to drag on these nuts!" Astral would mock the dragon and watch its nostrils flare with anger. Astral just stood there. They both knew the outcome.
Aiming right at the core of the creature. Three shots later and the creature collapsed. Astral put all three rounds in the same hole, shattering the core as it started to dissolve into the air.
Astral managed to grab a chunk of the core and preserved it, wondering how he could find someone like this down the line, shapeshifting himself is not his idea of a fun time based off the making of Lucky. The difference being he wants someone else to help.
The glimmer of his sniper showed to the gods that his normal weapons were still better than any mythical creature they could throw at him. The gods would murmur in disapproval, they haven't seen anything push Astral to the breaking point.
Astral would see the timer begin once more and giggle a bit to himself. The realization is not setting in quite yet. His armor faded back into nothing as he would summon a cloth and wipe off his sniper, switching to his rifle once it was cleaned.
