If it were just one of them, Max could have considered facing off against them but two… that was a big no-no. There was no chance of him winning against them with his current abilities.
"Can't we talk this over?" Max asked eliciting a chuckle from the Jester.
"You and I both know that the time for talking is over. Well, I guess since you are his student, you'd act like him."
Max frowned but kept his composure. "… You don't have to do this."
The brown-haired lady smirked. "And yet here I am. Do you plan to come forward yourself or would you like us to act first?" as she spoke, her magic had already begun to pool about her with the energy fluctuations reaching a level that Max could not ignore.
His brows furrowed and he knew well enough that his opponents were not easy. Sure he hoped to face off against strong opponents but… this was just overkill and what's more, a lot was riding on him.
