The morning everything changed

Yuri woke up when sunlight came through the only window in the room. Much to her annoyance the light was shining directly in her face. Trying to go back to sleep, Yuri turned facing the other direction. However, as she turned she came face to face with Hephaestus. Confused Yuri thought to herself " I'm pretty sure I locked the door". When she noticed movement from Hephaestus Yuri shook her head to clear it of thoughts.

Hephaestus feeling movement started waking up. As her mind started to clear she remembered the happenings of the previous night. She feeling guilty had decided to tell Yuri how she had during a moment of curiosity listened to her spill her secrets whilst asleep. At the time she just let her curiosity get the best of her. But after she thought of how she shouldn't have kept listening as she knew that the subjects talked about were private.

Yuri after realizing Hephaestus was waking up closed her eyes to pretend to still be asleep. She hadn't had time to fully process and organize her thoughts. In other words, she decided that the best choice was to ignore the problem and hope it went away.

Hephaestus now fully aware after waking up just kept staring at Yuri fully aware that she wasn't sleeping. But she figured that Yuri needed time to get her thoughts in order. Hephaestus was patient though just laying there watching her. However, what she didn't expect is that when Yuri opened her eyes she would just deny everything.

Yuri realized that she could not just stay here acting like she was still asleep. So building her courage or what she perceived as courage anyway. Yuri opened her eyes and turned to look out the window for a moment then as fast as she could get out said "Oh looks like we overslept. I'll make breakfast this morning". After this, she rushed to get up and leave the room as fast as possible.

Hephaestus was immediately able to discern from Yuri's actions that she did not plan to acknowledge that anything happened. Worried that this act of avoidance would negatively impact her. She reached out and grabbed Yuri's arm stopping her from leaving.

Yuri feeling her arm being grabbed attempted to pull away. When she couldn't she just stood there not facing Hephaestus. That's when she heard Hephaestus speak. "Please we have to talk about this. Ignoring the situation will only end up rather driving a wedge between us or worse hurting you. Hell, it may even push you to do something stupid."

hearing this Yuri froze she didn't want anything getting between them even if she knew that Hephaestus couldn't be with anyone. unless they crafted a piece of armor or a weapon that truly impressed her. That was a vow the goddess imposed on herself and literally could not be broken. However, that didn't change that they were getting closer to each other. And Yuri did not want to ruin that.

Worried as Yuri had not moved or said anything. Hephaestus was starting to believe that this was a mistake. That she should have just not said anything and continued as if nothing happened. Just as she was about to let go, Yuri finally spoke. "It's just hard to talk about, especially with someone I have strong feelings for."

After she started talking she figured it was best to just tell her everything. The only thing she planned to leave out was the system. So over the next three hours, she told her everything. She told her about living her previous life in her original world, how she made the mistake of not telling her feelings to the person she liked until it was too late, and finally how she made a deal not fully able to discern if it was with a god, devil, or death itself. She truly hoped it was a god that had answered her feeling like so far nothing bad had come of it.

Hephaestus just sat there listening until Yuri was finished then had to ask a few questions. "So your telling me that you were just a normal human before?" Yuri nodded her head in affirmation. "And in the world you came from no one knew whether the gods truly existed?" she once again nodded. "And if I'm understanding correctly you had already known about this world because someone had made a story about this world and its inhabitants." once again Yuri could only nod her head.

This was more than Hephaestus was expecting. She truly had no clue how to react as she could tell everything Yuri had spoken of was the truth. Finally, Hephaestus said she had one more question then they would start their day. "What did you look like before?"

Hearing this Yuri froze for a second thinking. When she wasn't sure how to accurately describe herself a thought passed through her mind. Before giving an answer she asked her system (your shop has near-infinite selections correct) [affirmative] (Does it have a photo of me in my last life by chance?) Skill: Dream Weaver: allows the user to enter anothers dream and change the contents to anything the user wishes - 150 sp

Skill: nightmare stare: place whomever you make eye contact with in an illusion that you control - 175 sp

Ability: body morphing: allows the user to transform partially or fully into any shape or form that user can picture clearly - 45 sp]

Yuri seeing this went back into deep thought. She didn't have enough sp for Dream Weaver or Nightmare Stare. This left her with thought share and body morphing. To be honest, Yuri has some worries about thought share. But before she decided to ask. (The body morphing ability does it give me the abilities of what I change into?) [no user's stats will stay the same however if mastered can give some features of the transformation such as if you transformed into an animal after mastery you could gain their enhanced senses.]

This piqued Yuri's interest and after she gave it some thought she decided on this ability.

After making the purchase the information on how to use the ability appeared in her mind. It was actually really simple she just had to get a clear picture in her mind and will herself to become what she envisioned.

While Yuri was in her own head Hephaestus worries that she asked something she shouldn't have. As she was about to tell Yuri to forget it the young girl in front of her started to change.

Her previous short frame shot up to 5'5" her hair turned a light brown almost hazel her ears and tail disappeared her cheats grew slightly her skin became slightly tanned and her eyes turned dark almost black.

When she finished changing she looked at Hephaestus who just stood there in a daze. After a couple of minutes, the transformation started to become harder to hold until Yuri couldn't keep it and changed back.

After Yuri changed back Hephaestus realized that must have been what she originally looked like. Not knowing what to say she just smiled at Yuri grabbed her hand and led her out to begin their day albeit quite late.

The two of them went out an got lunch as it was too late for breakfast. After they returned they continued Yuri's training neither talking about Yuri's past nor what happened last night. At this time Hephaestus decided it was best to keep her two lives separate. Yuri seeming to realize this seemed to agree. Although unknown to Yuri Hephaestus thought that her original form was every bit as cute as her current form. But this is something the goddess would never say.

After the night and morning, they had Yuri was just happy to return to some normalcy or at least what had became her normal. They finished up the training for the day. Hephaestus praised that her actual lessons would be completed soon and all that would be left would be to get actual experience.

So Hephaestus let Yuri know that for two weeks at least after concluding her lessons she was to stay out of the dungeon and needed to focus on smithing without her help. She was free to experiment and try to come up with her own way. This would allow for her to gain the experience she currently lacked and allow her to master her art.

Yuri agreed with Hephaestus and they went to eat dinner after cleaning themselves. That night just like pretty much every night since the training began Yuri stayed in Hephaestus's room. It was like nothing had changed but at the same time, Yuri realized everything seemed to change.

She was no longer staying in the bed of the person she not so secretly had a crush on. She was now staying in the bed with the woman she had already told her feelings to. This made Yuri struggle to sleep. Noticing her struggling and having an idea of why Hephaestus just pulled Yuri against her and slept while wrapping Yuri in her arms. Against all odds, Yuri feeling the warmth embracing her fell asleep shortly after and had one of the best sleeps of her life eat her of them.

:so yeah not much longer but about 80 - 90 words sorry about all the filler chapters. But only got a couple of more and she will start going back to the dungeon. And I know the sp doesn't add up perfectly just consider it as she took a small quest. Other than that I'm not a hundred percent sure I described her previous look so since I went back and grazed through the first chapter and only noticed a hight I made a description sorry if I already had one but don't think I did.:
