Chapter 5: The Hunter's Triumph

As the sun rose over the horizon, casting its golden light upon the verdant landscape, Roland emerged from the safety of his cave, his eyes glinting with determination. He made his way to the nearby river, quenching his thirst with cool, refreshing water before setting out to check the traps he had laid in the days prior.

With each trap he visited, Roland's hopes were dashed as he found them empty, the elusive creatures of the forest evading his grasp once more. But just as he was about to give up hope, he stumbled upon a trap that seemed to be shaking with activity—a sign that he had finally caught something.

His heart pounding with excitement, Roland approached the trap cautiously, his senses on high alert. What he found inside took him by surprise—a rabbit, struggling to free itself from the confines of the snare. But before Roland could react, the rabbit unleashed a powerful stream of water from its mouth, drenching him to the bone.
