As Silent As A Mouse

I am being hunted. Well, not me exactly. Someone wants to get their hands on the genius behind A.M.K Pharmaceuticals. They just don't know it's me. I have discovered a way to negate anyone's scent, shifter or human. You would think it wouldn't be that big of a deal... deodorants promise the same thing, but my product is nothing like that. My product turns its wearers invisible to shifters. No, not like that. But shifters need scent more than almost anything else to identify and find a person. Without scent, they can't track down their prey, or smell an enemy coming up from behind. I had originally created it so my adopted father and I could avoid the shifter community. No one was supposed to know about it. Until a little birdy said something they shouldn't have to the wrong person. Now the humans are after me and the shifters want me dead. But that's fine. That wasn't the only thing I came up with. And if I am as silent as a mouse, no one will see me coming until it is too late. This will be a RH novel, the FMC will not have to choose. What Do We Do Now?

I watched Doctor Gray hang up his phone, send out a text message, and then proceed to dismantle his cell phone completely.

He took out the SIM card and placed it in a tube with what I could only assume was some sort of corrosive material. As soon as the metal touched the liquid, it turned to rush before dissolving into nothing more than a pile of debris at the bottom of the glass container.

Taking out his battery, he placed it in a Petrie dish before pouring the same liquid onto it.

Flames rose up as the battery acid hit the liquid, but Doctor Gray didn't seem to be all that worried.

"Why do I think that this isn't the first time you've done that?" I smiled at him.

I was still strapped naked to a table, still in the lab where I had spent all of my time since getting here, and was still wearing a shock collar. But I was no longer as scared.
