"Then how about we get rid of the pesky rules?" smirked Bane with a shrug. "Especially the Luna Challenge one. I mean, no alpha in over a thousand years has ever let their mate be challenged by the other wolves in the pack. Well, no alpha but you."
Raphael stiffened under Bane's smile, and I could see him trying to suppress a shudder under the older wolf's intense stare.
"The rules are important," argued Raphael with a shake of his head.
"Then I guess we have to agree to disagree," shrugged Bane like it wasn't that big of a deal. "But when I am back to being alpha, the first thing I am getting rid of is the Luna Challenge."
He turned his attention to Amanda, who was trying to hide behind Raphael. "Well, the second thing I do." He winked at the woman who proudly worked at the facility, causing her face to turn pale.
He let out a low chuckle at her reaction before turning his full attention back to his son.
