Chapter 29 - Pain's Invasion (2)

'I want to test this theory,' Sasuke said as he threw a kunai towards The Preta Path, who easily dodged it and turned around to face Sasuke.

"So this is Flying Thundergod Jutsu?" Nagato said through The Preta Path. He was surprised to see how fast Sasuke reached him. The Human Path was just killed and Sasuke had already caught up to the next one.

"Yes, it is," Sasuke said as he teleported to the kunai beside The Preta Path and pierced his back with a kunai.

"What a fool, You straight up walked to your death. Now I can easily suck all of your chakra" The Naraka Path said as he tried to suck Sasuke's chakra.

He did manage to absorb a small portion of his chakra, but it was nowhere enough to deplete Sasuke's astronomical Chakra Reserves. He would have been in some trouble if he hadn't received Hashirama's powers.

"Nice try," Sasuke said as he used Flying Thundergod Jutsu and took him far away from the village.

Sasuke and The Preta Path teleported to a random location near the border of The Land Of Fire and The Land of Sound.

The moment Sasuke landed, he saw that The Preta Path fell down without any resistance.

"As expected, Nagato lost control of The Preta Path's body," Sasuke said.

He now had another win condition, which was to simply teleport a Path of Pain somewhere else, but doing that would harm his plans.

He didn't want people to think that Pain was a nobody and his strength was greatly exaggerated.

Instead, he wanted to use some flashy moves to fight Pain so people could recognize his strength. It was crucial to his great plan.

Meanwhile, Nagato was a little pissed that he lost contact with The Preta Path but he was sure that he could win with 3 Paths since they were the strongest.

After that, Sasuke teleported back to The Hidden Leaf Village and felt Shikamaru's seal getting activated so he teleported to his location.

"What's wrong?" Sasuke asked as he put his hand on Ino's shoulder, who was standing beside Shikamaru.

"Sasuke?" Ino said as she turned around and kept looking at Sasuke for a while.

"They are here" Shikamaru explained as he looked towards the three strongest Paths of Pain.

The Deva Path, The Animal Path, and The Asura Path were standing together while being surrounded by the ninjas of The Hidden Leaf Village.

"Why are there only 3 of them?"

"Yeah, I'm sure I heard that there were 6 of them"

"Could it be that they were killed by one of us?"

"That means they aren't that strong if 3 of them are already dead"

Sasuke rolled his eyes after hearing them. That is precisely why he wanted to hunt the last 3 slowly.

"It's over, surrender now," Someone said as Sasuke felt Tsunade and Sakura coming towards the battlefield.

"Pain doesn't know defeat," The Deva Path said as The Animal Path started to summon some giant creatures that were taller than most buildings in Konoha.

"Not again," a ninja said in annoyance.

"How can I even fight it?"

"Use all of your summons," A ninja said as everyone who had a contract summoned their creatures, but they all paled in size.

Those ninjas ordered their summons to assist them in battle, but most, if not all, refused to partake in battle.

"What is going on?" Tsunade said as she finally reached the battlefield alongside Sakura.

"They are getting serious," Sasuke said as he watched The Asura Path getting ready to launch his missiles.

The Asura Path launched his missiles which started to hit the nearby ninjas.

Meanwhile, The Deva Path started to fly and was coming towards The Hokage.

"I'll deal with it," Sasuke said as he decided to drag the upcoming fight and went ahead to fight Pain.

"Wood Golem, I choose you," Sasuke said as he used the wood golem jutsu, and a humongous being appeared.

"What in the actual fuck?"

"What the hell is that thing?"

"Is this thing a summon?"

Ninjas started to gossip but only Tsunade knew what it was.

'That's Grandpa's!!!' Tsunade said as she instantly recognized the infamous Wood Release.

"How is that even possible?" Tsunade said in disbelief. Wood Release was so rare and exclusive to The First Hokage that even she couldn't use it despite being his granddaughter.

"What is that sensei?" Sakura asked since she saw Tsunade recognize Sasuke's technique.

"Wood Golem, kill those creatures" Sasuke ordered.

The Wood Golem started to throw his dragons towards the summons that detonated at will and killed all of Pain's summons since they were not even close to a tailed beast.

People couldn't believe what they witnessed.

"How can it be that powerful?"

"I don't know, ask him. "

"Sasuke has grown a lot stronger"

Everyone in the crowd was just bystanders, including Tsunade. They were there just to watch Sasuke flex his power.

'Thankfully, I decreased the golem's height, or else people might have gotten hurt,' Sasuke said as he jumped down from the Wood Golem towards the Deva Path Pain with a raging boner, which was the side effect of using Wood Release.

Sasuke threw some kunais toward him, which he dodged since he wanted to save his Shinra Tensei and didn't want it on cooldown after seeing how fast Sasuke was previously.

"I'll deal with you later," Sasuke said as he teleported to his kunai that The Deva Path dodged and used another Wood Release jutsu.

"Gracious Deity Gates," Sasuke said as two gates came from the sky and fell on top of The Asura Path and The Animal Path at light speed.

*Bang*Bang*

The Deity Gates hit them perfectly and disabled their movement.

"What the hell?" Nagato said through The Animal Path as he didn't sense or feel an attack coming till it was too late.

Sasuke threw a kunai towards the two and teleported towards them instantly.

"Goodbye," Sasuke said as he cut off both of their heads and threw them into his inventory.

Everyone was stunned by what Sasuke had done. They couldn't even imagine themselves fighting one of them let alone killing two at the same time.

"That's Sasuke's space-time ninjutsu," Sakura said as she saw the bodies of Animal Path and Asura Path disappear.

'They are technically dead already, so I can simply put them in my inventory, and Nagato would lose his control instantly,' Sasuke said as he realized that this battle was child's play.

"So only one of them is left," Shikamaru said as everyone started to relax a little.

However, before anyone could relax, they heard the last remaining Pain.

"Chibaku Tensei"
