As the original Alexander, his brows furrowed, he asked, "What to do if our little sister doesn't listen?"

The second duplicate of Alexander touched his nose and assessed, "She probably needs a good spanking!"

All three Zoes were dumbfounded. They were now convinced that these three men were not their brother but rather impostors—participants in this strange game. 

Normally, when the indigenous people discover that someone next to them is a participant, their first reaction upon regaining memory is delight. For killing the participant could break the cycle, setting them free. 

But why did these three face a beating as their first interaction upon identifying the participant?
