Although the rewards of the newbie instance were plentiful, Alexander's nature hadn't changed much; he had only become a Chosen One. 

Inside the apartment, although Alexander's strength had surged and he even possessed the identity of a ghost master, his increase in combat power was still quite limited and his methods of attack were quite monotonous.

Even though he killed two spirit-level evil ghosts in this instance, one was thanks to the ghostly chainsaw in his hand, and the other was a weak opponent whom he managed to strike fatally with a baseball bat. 

In reality, if their equipment had been similar, he would've been utterly defeated!
