Five Years Later

Five years later.

A boy entered Heaven Dou City. He had a chiseled face, with eyebrows as slender as a Jian sword and a nose sharp as a cliff. He was none other than Tang Feng.

Under Grandmaster's advice, he reluctantly came to Heaven Dou City to join the Heaven Dou Imperial Academy. He actually wished to go on with his brother and his sister. But his teacher ordered him to enter Heaven Dou Imperial Academy and so he was here.

On reaching the gate, Tang Feng asked the gatekeeper to look for teacher Qin Ming for whom grandmaster had given a letter. After teacher Qin Ming read the letter, he informed Tang Feng that he was acquainted with Grandmaster as Grandmaster and his master were very close friends.

He took Tang Feng to the combat field, "Xiao Feng, we need to test your combat ability before we can decide which class you will be assigned to. I hope you don't mind and fight with the fellow student to your heart's content. Don't worry about any injuries."

Tang Feng saw a boy and a girl standing in the combat field waiting for teacher Qin Ming. Qin Ming said "Osler, this is Tang Feng, a special admission to our academy. I wish you to defeat him! I will be the referee. Tell me when you are ready!"

Both Tang Feng and Osler nodded to each other. Osler shouted "Black Leopard." Following spirit transformation the hair on his head turn black. His elegant like a woman kind of face turns somewhat pale with his pupils becoming vertical slits.

Tang Feng too shouted "Azure Bow". A azure blue bow with a small eagle head at the middle came in his hands.

A yellow ring flashed under Osler's feet and he dashed towards Tang Feng. Tang Feng calmly looked at Osler and used Shadow Steps to step back and create some distance between them. After years of training with Tang San and Grandmaster, he was already able to calmly scrutinize his situations and make prompt decisions. Just as Osler missed his attack, Tang Feng used his second spirit ability and 3 spirit arrows hit Osler simultaneously.

Tang Feng's second spirit skill was "Clone Shot" which had the ability to clone up to 5 arrows. 5 arrows along with eagle eye lock was a dangerous combination to kill multiple enemies. Tang Feng got this skill after hunting a Clod Rabbit which was known for it's cloning abilities rather than attack power.

After the arrows hit Osler, blood ran down his lips but he didn't stop. He pounced at Tang Feng again, a lot slower than earlier. Tang Feng used Pierce shot on Osler's shoulder and Osler was unable to move anymore.

Teacher Qin Ming was surprised by Tang Feng's combat abilities. Meanwhile, the girl came to Osler and started healing him. She has a graceful figure, long blue hair draped across her shoulders and back like a waterfall, eyes the same color as her hair not revealing any feelings. Her eyes are big and beautiful. She is not only entirely dressed in black, even her face was covered by a layer of black muslin.

After healing Osler, she came towards Tang Feng and smiled "Hello, I am Ye Lingling, Auxiliary spirit master. Are you hurt?"

Tang Feng blushed and replied "I am Tang Feng, level 16 Assault Spirit Master. Nice to meet you, beautiful sister!"

Ye Lingling giggled, "What a cute brother" and rubbed Tang Feng's hairs.

While the students in the combat field were chatting among themselves, three shadows in a high up building were discussing about Tang Feng. They were the three principals of Heaven Dou Imperial Academy, Meng Shenji, Bai Baoshan and Zhi Li. After a lengthy discussion, they decided to place Tang Feng under Li Yu. Li Yu was a senior teacher of the academy. His martial spirit was "Death's Kiss Bow" and his spirit power was level 78.

Next day, after Tang Feng was settled in his dormitory and admitted to the special class, he was called to the office of Teacher Li Yu. Tang Feng bowed to teacher Li Yu and accepted him as his second teacher.

Li Yu asked "So Xiao Feng, introduce your spirit skills at first."

"Replying to Teacher, my first spirit ring's spirit skill is "Pierce shot" which when activated gives a penetration boost of 40% to my next arrow. My second spirit ring's ability is "Clone Shot" which allows me make 5 clone arrows, allowing me to shoot up to 5 targets simultaneously. As for my 5 arrows, I can control their direction with my Spirit power. Also I have a skull spirit bone which I obtained while hunting my first spirit ring. I obtained the skill eagle eyes from it. It allows me to have a 360 degree view up to 30 meters when I activate it. Also, the view can be extended to 50meters in a straight line. Any target in this range can be locked by me and all their activities will be observed by me. This effect can only be ignored if the target leaves my view of sight."

Teacher Li Yu was astonished to hear his disciple's description. These were simply dream skills for any archer. Li Yu took a while to adjust himself. He cleared his throat and said "Xiao Feng, do you know the strengths and weaknesses of an archer? An archer's greatest strength is his ability to snipe from distance, while his greatest weakness is his spirit power. You must know Xiao Feng, that our arrows are formed by spirit power. So, the more shots we miss, the more spirit power we waste! An archer always needs accuracy and speed. Your eagle eye lock is a very powerful ability, but you still need to improve your ability as using eagle eyes for extended time will consume your spirit power.

Xiao Feng, apart from you, I have two more disciples, one is Ye Chen, Martial spirit Calamity Bear, level 32 defense system spirit master. As for the other one, I believe you already met her, Xie Lingling, Martial spirit Nine Heart Flowering Apple, level 26 auxiliary spirit master.

Xiao Feng, I will have you start practice since tomorrow morning. You don't have to attend any class in the academy. All your necessary teachings would be undertaken by me. All I hope for is that you will help our Heaven Dou Imperial Academy win the Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament. Xiao Feng, our Heaven Dou Empire along with Star Luo Empire and Spirit Hall are three major powers on this land.

But, in every year's Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament, we are defeated by Star Luo and Spirit Hall. It has demoralized the citizens of our empire. Xiao Feng, young Spirit masters are the future of our empire and Heaven Dou Imperial Academy represents the face of young generation of our empire. We loosing to Spirit Hall and Star Luo Empire has made us the weakest of all three major powers on this land.

I hope you will join our Empire team and defeat the other major powers, proving that our Empire is as strong as ever!" Li Yu looked at Tang Feng with expectant eyes at the end of his lecture.

"I promise teacher, I will do my best to win the championship" Tang Feng said firmly.
