1st Spirit Ring (Part 3)

Just as Tang San opened his eyes, he saw Grandmaster standing vigilantly beside him, while Tang Feng was fending off against a yellow eagle. Grandmaster was constantly reminding Tang Feng, "Xiao Feng, don't waste too much soul power. Try to hit the eagle accurately or just scare it away. If you use too much soul power, you won't be able to last long."

Tang San looked at Grandmaster and asked, "Teacher, what is going on?"

Grandmaster looked at his disciple with excitement and said, "Xiao San, you really did succeed in absorbing the spirit ring! My theory is correct! That eagle is a Golden Eagle, the one that might have driven the datura snake to the outskirts of the forest."

Tang San finally understood why a datura snake, which was supposed to be deep in the forest encountered them. It must have been chased by this eagle spirit beast. He then didn't waste time and started summoning his spirit to help Tang Feng. Tang Feng's face looked pale, he almost was unable to hold on any more!

Tang San used his first ring's spirit ability and bound the Golden Eagle. Grandmaster was excited after seeing the ability of Tang San's first ring! Though he was disappointed that there was not much potent poison on Blue Silver Grass, still he was satisfied with it's durability that could hold the Golden Eagle for so long.

Grandmaster thought for a while and looked at Tang Feng, "Xiao Feng, will you consider the Golden Eagle as your first spirit ring? The talons of Golden Eagle have lethal penetration power. If it can be incorporated in your spirit arrows, they can become more deadly and destructive!"

Tang Feng nodded readily and took out his one chi two cun sword. The Golden Eagle bound by Blue Silver Grass looked at Tang Feng with resentment. Tang Feng drove the sword in the Eagle's head and a yellow ring rose up from it's body. The Golden eagle was four hundred ten years old spirit beast, which was close enough for Tang Feng to absorb.

Tang Feng started his meditation to assimilate the spirit ring, while Grandmaster was busy pulling out the sword from the eagle's body. Suddenly, some light shone from the eagle's head! Grandmaster asked Tang San for help and excitedly dissected the eagle's head!

Before Grandmaster was the spirit bone of the Golden Eagle! And on top of that, it was a rare skull bone! Grandmaster discussed with Tang San and decided that the bone would be absorbed by Tang Feng. It is often believed that spirit skills and spirit bones work together perfectly! Grandmaster wanted his disciple to have a strong foundation for his future.

After Tang Feng opened his eyes, he was shocked to hear about the Spirit Bone. But Grandmaster didn't allow him to absorb the spirit bone in the forest. They had already faced enough dangers, so Grandmaster ordered Tang Feng to return to the college and absorb the bone in his office.

On reaching the college, Grandmaster ordered Tang San to return to his dormitory as it might take Tang Feng some time to absorb the spirit bone. After Tang San left, both Tang Feng and Grandmaster went to the office. There, Tang Feng sat in meditative position with the skull bone on his lap and started absorbing it!

It took Tang Feng a whole day to absorb the spirit bone. It was an agonizing process and he felt his head splitting. Finally, after absorbing the spirit bone, a warm current flowed through his body making him feel comfortable. Tang Feng slowly opened his eyes and saw Grandmaster sitting behind him. He also realized that his body was drenched in sweat.

Tang Feng immediately went and had a shower, changed his clothes and came back to Grandmaster. Grandmaster waited patiently for his disciple. After Tang Feng came back, Grandmaster asked, "Xiao Feng, tell me now about your Spirit ring and Spirit bone's ability!"

Tang Feng stood before Grandmaster and said "Teacher, my first spirit ability is called Pierce shot! It increases the Penetration power of my arrow by 40%. Also, the spirit bone provided me with the ability "Eagle eyes". It helps me to have detailed vision of 360 degree around 30 meters. I can look up to 50 meters in a straight line too without spreading the vision 360 degrees. Also, I can lock on any target within my eagle eye's vision field and his movement will always be locked unless he leaves the area of my vision's field."

Grandmaster was amazed and couldn't help but praise, "This spirit bone was simply made for you! It will be a great help for your archery skills, Xiao Feng!"
