The cavernous throne room seemed to respond to Lady Quintara's words, shadows dancing in approval as Arpious ascended to the throne. The massive crow motifs appeared to bow, their imposing forms paying homage to the Princess of Monsters who now held the destiny of the Abyssal Palace in her hands.
"You kneel too high for somebody giving up their throne," Arpious pushed the woman onto both knees and almost automatically, the woman crouched into a kowtow, her forehead at heel level with Arpious. "Good."
As Arpious ascended the steps to the obsidian throne, a palpable energy radiated through the vast expanse of the throne room. The crow motifs, intricately carved into every surface, seemed to ripple with a newfound vitality. The room itself responded to her presence, shadows gathering and swirling in an intricate dance that mirrored the complex tapestry of the Abyssal Palace's history.
