Darce was aware of the approach of certain ladies from a young age. The grown-up would make several match-making attempts. Darce thought those would stop now as he got married. His mind ignored anything of such, but as he heard Rosa's words the night before, he was not happy with what he saw. Previously, he thought the family was trying to present their children as good prospects for their heir, but some were going too far out of line, and this maiden was the same.
Darce sighed as he stopped for a bit. “It seems Lady Perhiasan wishes to say something other than a greeting.”
He wished he had not left Rosaline.
“It is such an honor to be noticed by His Highness if I may be so bold as to ask His Highness for a dance?”
