ARK: A Druid's Ascension

Evolution has been the driving force on Earth for eons, and yet with the rise of an intelligent sapient species it began to stagnate as if that was it's final creation. Thousands of years later, in the twenty-second century humanity discovered a substance they simply called Element. Element was an power source and material unlike anything else found on earth, and many believed it to be alien in origin, but regardless just like any other resource, wars began over it's control. The Element War destroyed earth as humans knew it with pollution caused by element powered weaponry that outclassed any thing from the previous century. This folly was realized too late and Earth was rapidly becoming uninhabitable so the two governing forces created the Genesis Project alongside the Proto-Arks that would house seeds of life to terraform Earth when the time was right. Our Story begins when one individual finds himself thrust into this Project and must learn to survive on the ARKs with powers he doesn't quite understand as they are just the beginning. Follow along as a Druid's tale of survival and Ascension is told. I am writing this story for my own enjoyment, so the upload schedule is going to be when I have time. I work full-time at a warehouse and am a full-time college student as well, so I write as a way to relax so please be patient with me. Status Breakdown:

Health: The numerical representation of lifeforce and the stat controlling how hard a hit you can take without debilitating injury or death. Broken bones and damaged organs will rapidly repair themselves at higher levels.

Stamina: The numerical representation of physical endurance you use when performing any physical action. Stamina depends on the food and water bars and will deplete at a slower pace when well-fed and hydrated.

Mana: The mystical force of magic that is the fuel for creation. The ability to harness this power is unique as only those abominations formed from Element barely able to grasp its surface. Pushing this ability above a certain level allows the direct manipulation of the elements as if you were a true deity.

Food: The numerical representation of caloric intake and falling below a certain threshold slows stamina regen, and intensive activities require more calories to sustain. The increase in this stat allows one to go more extended periods without food as the body can store the energy from digested food more efficiently.

Water: The numerical representation of water intake of which the depletion of this bar results in delirium and eventually death from dehydration. The increase in this stat allows the body to more efficiently cool itself using less water in periods of high exertion.

Weight: The representation of your ability to carry heavy loads for prolonged periods. The increase of this stat allows you to haul inhuman levels of equipment and resources alongside increasing inventory space.

Melee Damage: The percentage representation of how hard you can throw a punch or swing a tool/weapon. Increasing this stat to higher levels allows you to wrangle beasts with nothing but your bare hands.

Movement Speed: The physical representation of your top speed, and it also increases muscle reflexes. Increasing this stat to higher levels allows one to outrun and outmaneuver even the fastest of beasts.

Fortitude: The numerical representation of a person's resistance to knockout blows, poison, disease, and temperature. Pushing this skill to the highest level allows one to adapt to any climate and be completely immune to knockout, poison, and disease.

Crafting Skill: This stat is a measure of how fast you craft items and also increases your intuitiveness when crafting; affecting the quality of the finished product. Higher levels in this stat are the hallmark of a master craftsman.
