[ ~ Chapter • Start ~ ]

A few minutes had passed, as Satoru sat on the edge of the bed he had slept on, glancing towards the two of them.

While he did notice that their body language actually meant that they were relieved, happy even to see him wake up and move. Not that surprising, really.

Plus, he feels much better than last time, maybe stronger, too. Though, one small temporary problem had to be fixed through natural means.

He took out two metallic orbs, one having a blue aura that slowly let out energy, while the other has a red aura that tried to worm around the hand that held it. Satoru used his thumbs to deactivate these through a secret mechanism it had.

"Eri, you still remember these orbs, right?"

When he asked this, Eri nodded.

"The Energy Generation Core and the Energy Conversion Core. You are planning to create something with those, right?"

Eri replied, though her teacher shook his head.

"Not now, but a little later cause I need some rest. By then, I might need both your help, and maybe Hajime's, too."

His answer alone attracted the attention of Aletia, whose curiosity began to pile up. How many artifacts did this man create? What kind of techniques did he use? How much did he experience back on his world?

No.... there's something he's hiding under his skin, and there was currently no possible way for her to have him reveal his secret.

After those thoughts came to pass, she patted his shoulder to get his attention before gesturing to her fangs.

".... Please, lend me your blood. I'm starving. Haven't eaten for days." Aletia pleaded hungrily, and without hesitation, Satoru lent her his arm, which she eagerly bit into.

From the Astral Magician's knowledge and memory, he knew that vampires could slowly grow stronger by drinking blood, but because she was of royal lineage, and the effects of the blood contract, the increase in ability was much faster than normal.

Her sucking his blood had happened around 55 times, 56 if now is included. And each time that happened was only once per one to three days.

Once her fangs let go of his arm, her bite marks immediately were healed back to normal as if it never happened.

"I'm filled...."

She spoke after that, as no blood spilled from her mouth, for she had savored every last drop of it.

"I'm going to tell my classmates that you had woken up noe, teacher! Just wait there and be patient, I'll prepare your breakfast."

Eri had left the room to tell her classmates about Satoru's recent awakening, though as she was used to Aletia sucking his blood, it was honestly still making her feel a little more protective towards him as she gave a cold glare towards the vampire princess, even for a moment.

Of course, Satoru still sat on the bed, willingly allowing himself to be bedridden for this day only. The soreness of his body would obviously restrict him from doing most tasks, plus having a high fever was still pretty bad, even if he was superhuman.

A minute later, many students entered the room one by one, with smiles on their faces and chests that needed to be cleared.

"Why are you all here for?" Satoru asked, as his students lined up behind him.

The first one definitely was Hajime, who bowed in front of him.

"Teacher, we planned this, you know... Ever since you went into a coma, we wanted to thank you, maybe for guiding us down here? Maybe, it was because of you that we became better people, too. Thank you, teacher, for everything you've done!"

Hajime told him, which did warm his heart that did nothing but work a "little too hard". After he let out the words from his chest, he left to focus on his studies about Oscar and the Mavericks.

One by one, the students thanked him. Each saying their thanks differently, each giving him motivation, even if it was little or great.

Some were a little embarrassed, some weren't. Though all of them were genuine.

So here's the question: what would really happen if Satoru was really dead saving his students?

Simple. Most of them will die, but eventually, without a miracle, all of them will. Betrayals, selfishness, even unknown and hidden dangers would fully threaten them everywhere.

Maybe only one of them survives? Maybe two or three? It would be a mystery, actually.

So right after they spoke their thanks, Eri arrived in the room, carrying a bowl of porridge made from several monsters living above.

She looked reluctant, but she still approached Satoru and given him the bowl.

"I tried my best making these, just so you know..."

Seconds later, the bowl was emptied.

"You did try your best, but you could still improve your cooking. Overall, the porridge lacked some saltiness but it's still above decent for me."

Satoru commented on Eri's cooking, before putting the bowl aside and nodding his head to approve her cooking.

All in all, it was a nice day and night for the entire group, as next day, when Satoru has recovered, he immediately set out into action, gathering every student into the abode to make his announcement.

It was simply to turn the entire abode into their base, and after the following week, they will leave the dungeon to return to Heilig Kingdom to report.

While they do that, they were going to modify the abode, make it bigger, and even better.

Also, the students need new clothing. The months inside the labyrinth forced their bodies to grow a bit older to adapt to the surroundings and due to that, the clothing they had were becoming too tight and maybe even smaller.

Luckily, there's enough clothing around the abode.

Time passed, and they began to activate several robot maids that were hidden in one area, they were originally hostile until Satoru reprogrammed all of them.

Strangely enough, they all looked the same. Side ponytail, red eyes, in maid clothing..... no they were the same robots and Aletia immediately thought of destroying them but she was held back by Satoru.

The throne Oscar originally was had been remodeled and immediately became the device that granted him full access to the labyrinth.

Using it, he created an elevator that allowed the students to get to the first floor safely, modified several things in the labyrinth, and even found a dark skinned woman venturing deeper into the labyrinth from the 75th floor.

Of course, by observation alone through the monsters, she was pretty strong, experienced even. Following her were several monsters that she commanded, all which were modified with [Metamorphosis Magic].

But now, he stood up from the throne, as he already spent his daily hours managing the Labyrinth.

He glanced at Eri, who stared at him back, expecting something from him.

Satoru will now proceed to make her confess to him, deepening their relationship and setting their path in stone.

Next Chapter: Rest in the Abode - Episode Eri

Fun Fact: The students are now strong enough to eat unfiltered/poisonous monster meat safely, even if some of them gain painful seizures that last for a short while.
