Up until here, Arianna's life was good, even with a little bit of her harsh environment, until one day all the people she loved, such as her grandfather, and her aunt, began to die, one after another. Even her favorite singers died. Perhaps these were the harshest and worst years she lived.
Depression was starting to eat away at her. At first, she no longer ate well or slept. She felt that if she loved someone, he would die, so she moved away from everyone. She no longer hugged people like the first time. She no longer spoke to them. She used to love dancing and drawing, but she gave them up. All her days were inside her room, and she could not even cry. Years passed and depression haunted Arianna. There were even times when she wanted to commit suicide, but that was of no use.
Throughout those years, she did not find anything to hold on to in order to live. All she wanted was to relieve her mind from thinking about the worst things. She always prayed that the people who loved her would not be harmed. She occupied herself with watching movies all the time. Not a year went by without something bad happening to her, as for an accident, illness, loss,...but what many did not know is that Arianna overcame a lot.
When she was born, the survival rate was 50 percent. Then, at the age of 2, she developed a fever above 40 degrees. Everyone was sure that she would not survive, even her mother surrendered.
An adult would not be able to fight a fever like that. How could a child endure all that? But she did not give up for 6 days until she woke up. If she had not given up at such a young age, would she have given up now?
